What would cause an anomaly like this?

 

Bad math on the algorithm used to calculate the extrinsic value of the option? Just a wild guess.

Yeah, I move fast when moves really big happen quickly. I sold 1/2 because they release the new GPUs tomorrow so I think there is still upside. But, 35% return in 3 hours was to good not to take some donuts on.

 

I bought some more Apple calls (130c expires this friday) and my first Tesla this morning. October 16th 500c. Up a few grand on these boys.

 

It can take up to 3 days for a split to "settle" just like a trade...there were lots of articles about this over the weekend and not to panic. I'm wondering if a bunch of panicy pete's sold thinking they were way down...ooof...

Look at the time of the last trade...It's going to have happened at a point when the stock was down and nobody has bought since it started going up....Look at the ASK price for what they "real perceived value" of the option is...

Yeah, but I built a raspberry pi-hole that I put in the drop ceiling above the bathroom in a coffee shop...I vpn to it and piggy back on their free wifi...Nobody knows what I'm up to...I also installed a cloned wifi access point with a TP-link n300 and a packet sniffer....


Just kidding but I know it can be done so someone is doing it...

 

I don't mind it, and it's "as good as" others, realistically. I like TOS better, but I don't use it I just use the website or TD app on my phone.

But, I did just close out my robinhood account last week. The only thing I used it for that TD wouldn't do was an "instant" transfer to pull and buy something less than 5$ the same day, HTZ. Ended up making a couple bucks off it, so I figured good enough. I like TD now though.

What debit card? RH has its own debit card? Or are you just talking about selling it and transferring to your banks debit card?

 

Yes, Robinhood has it's own debit card. My cash balance is accessible using it for purchases or at ATMs.
I don't use it much in practice, but in theory it's a game changer. I may start using it more.

Correct. Also earn interest (pennies) on my cash balance.

I do not mind Robinhood I had to switch my options calls to it because I was designated as a day trader per fidelity for my play account.

What I like about Robinhood

Their GUI is awesome, I do love that. I like how they dumb down the calls so you do not have to buy to open or sell to close. With that being said their fills suck.

Read this...they are taxing themselves to death...and the rich are fleeing. It's going to decrease revenue. You cannot tax your way out of deficit. You have to make cuts/restructure. More money to pay for failing programs only vaporizes...

 

There is a revolt going on with their shareholders between them wanting to do a reverse split and shareholders saying no, we'd rather be delisted...

 

I think they partnered with a bank to provide those services.

 

So in the higher tax brackets, the state of California actually gets MORE of your gains than you? Gotta fund that utopia somehow.

 

It's hilarious because of the reworking of the taxing...only 10K of your state income tax is deductible from your federal taxes...So you're getting taxed on money you can't keep. Rogan said he'll save $50 million over the next 10 years by leaving CA.
