What have you done to your Tacoma today? 1st Gen Edition

Well... trip plans are back on!

Camping 5 nights - Hotel 3 nights. Rolling out on the 15th of September.




And what have I done to my 1st gen? Finalized my bumpstop set up with spacers I made.



Bumpstops reach full compression, just before the rubber bump on the shaft hits the body of the shock.

 

Moved myself back to school.




Already have a potential Rona outbreak in the on campus housing so we’ll see how long it lasts.

 

Installed rebuilt ABS module, Installed brand new OEM headlights, Repainted/corrected the aftermarket corner lights, Removed TRD decals, Removed badly peeled and faded badging from rear doors and tailgate and cleaned her up a bit. BTW from my experience Goof-off better than Goo-gone for adhesive residue removal. I tried both this weekend.

 

Bad ass! I’ve stayed at that Eureka resort once while on a fire down that way in Willow Creek. Fun times were had.

Went wheeling with some friends up by Whitehall today. did the pipestone trail and then on the way out we stopped by ringing rocks. cool stuff, the noise they make is uncanny. trail wasn't too hard but it's about as much as i'm comfortable doing. truck could do more, but my driving skills are what holds me back. got a few pics. beautiful country up there!

 

Wasn't today. But paid for a heart transplant among others for it

Definitely, but got everything all done right so hopefully i dont have any more major hiccups with the truck for another 2-300k. Appreciate the condolences

 

For those of you running ADS, did you have to custom order the fronts to be extended travel? Also are you running the 650 springs?

 

I don't think so. And yes 650s.

 

Where would you say the best place is to order? Directly from ADS?

 

I get my ADS stuff through Matt @M C M at MCM fab. He's done a lot of R&D for our trucks on them and has the nice resi mounts. But I think you can get them through ADS direct as well. I think they are a bit behind on orders so I'd shop resellers to see if they have anything in stock.

 

I am not looking forward to the day I have to replace my engine...

wasn’t even the entire engine. It was just the Head and head gasket. Again...Ooof!!
