Half-baked Vermont Excursion - 8/27 to 8/30

Bummed I just saw this thread today. I love Vermont and was just thinking I want to go up there again.

 

Definitely need to do this route if you guys are planning again

 

...I can do it again any weekend in September and October, working around potentials: Mt. W, and fluid film weekends. Also whenever they might close some of the roads we took, I don't know those roads if they close at first snow or ahead of time. Once I get Gaia I'll start looking at adapting out to breweries and pancakes

Thanks again @BadDNA for an awesome trip and @Sloth for some awesome pictures. I'll get mine up tonight when I get my phone on wifi. I'm happy to start from the south and we can hit that last stretch we went around and then camp in that state park we went through for night 1.

Day 1 would have to start early enough to get to Dorset and then at least get to camp at/near sundown, though. Might be harder this late in the year.

 

Sounds like folks had a good time, I am considering going this weekend, I have a 4 day weekend. Run Friday thru Sunday, just need to see what the week brings and make a game time decision on Thursday.

Wow looks like it was a great time! Definitely interested in future trips. How much modding is necessary on a route like this? I just had Wild Peaks put on today 265/75R16, rock sliders hopefully arrive in a couple weeks. I'm not sure if I want to upgrade suspension yet, I'll need my wallet to recover first so maybe spring time haha.

 

I only used my sliders on dirt at the Dorset caves for fun, no way I would get through the cave route without hitting the sliders good, or hitting my oil pan which is a risk I didn’t want to take. Otherwise, I was loaded down with firewood and had zero issues.

I am stock height, stock wheels and tires. The only thing I have is sliders. That was kind of a big draw for me to come along was everyone says “stock friendly” but they’re built up with lifts and wheels and tires and sliders and skids. I came in stock as hell. I’d have been fine without my sliders too. 2020 off road. Didn’t use my locker at all.

 

I have some more photos but basically similar to already posted. I’ll dump them in the google drive later though.
