I have a 2017 tacoma with a manual transmission and everytime i turn the traction control all the way off and drop the clutch the tires never spin. Even when the ground is wet. Havent tried it in snow yet but im sure it will work in snow. But why not on regular pavement?

Because it's not powerful enough and not meant to do that? o_O It's not a muscle car, not sure what you expected buying a MT pickup truck. Great way to wear out your clutch/drivetrain.:facepalm:

“Regular” pavement has anti tire spinning properties.

It's cause you're granny shifting, not double clutching like you should.

I had a problem with this once trying to do donuts in the snow. Turns out if you only press the button for traction control, it doesn't really turn off. Glazed my clutch pretty good that day...learned the hard way..

You have to press and hold the button to get it to turn off. Give that a try and it might work. Not sure the truck has the power to spin the tires on dry pavement, but it should be able to do it on wet pavement with the traction control all the way off.

Edit: just saw that you mentioned you turned it all the way off..idk what to tell ya bud:notsure:

You need tuned. After doing so, it’s possible to cut them loose.

where are you located? There may be someone near by that can hook you up.

    this and that...
its because the horrendous drive by wire design. get a sprintbooster or something equivalent that eliminates the throttle gating and lag. if you want to spin the tires, youll do so easily. you dont even need to turn off trac to do it.

Throw in a Flowmaster and some Amsoil and you'll roast 'em through 7th.

must be your pavement, today it rained a bit in Texas, we have roads covered with oil, and they get very slippery when wet, I even slipped in 2nd gear at 3000 RPM today, no bed load

My ranger spun the tires no problem. It had mechanical LSD. I only done hard 1-2 shift in my taco, does a little burn out. I have not dumped the clutch yet on my taco. Still a virgin i guess.
