    I just drove it!!!
Guess what...it only drives in 4 high and 4 low NOT when the transfer case is in neutral. Other than that, it drives beautifully (the Tundra brakes are sweeeet)
    So...do you think

    A) I should take the transfer case apart to see if I put the lever in wrong when I reassembled it
    B) Shoot the wires to see if it's an electrical problem
    C) Buy a used transfer case
    D) Try to rebuild my current transfer case
    E) Something else...

This whole thread has been a real head scratcher. And now this... " ...it only drives in 4 high and 4 low NOT when the transfer case is in neutral." I assume your are referring to the 4wd lever being in neutral.

Of course it wont drive in neutral, IT'S IN NEUTRAL

I can't remember details about your truck. Do you have a 4hi button on your 4wd lever? If you have a button, your lever has a 2Hi, Neutral and 4Lo position. If you do not have a 4wd button, your lever has a 2Hi, Neutral, 4Hi, and 4Lo position.

It's a 4WD, so it has a button. I apologize for not clarifying.

When the transfer case is in neutral, the truck doesn't drive. With 4WD engaged, and the transfer case in 4 hi or 4 lo, the truck drives fine.

If the 4wd lever is in the neutral position, no power will be transferred to any wheels. Period.

The levers I've seen that have a 4wd button do not have a 4Hi position, they only have 2Hi, N, 4Lo.

OK...digiratus, what shifters do you have in your truck?
I have the transfer case shifter to the left, and the transmission shifter to the right.
The transfer case lever has a lo, neutral, and hi position.
The transmission lever has the 4wd button.

To clarify, when the transfer case lever is in neutral, the truck does not drive. In hi or lo, it drives fine. Is this normal operation? It has been a while since I've driven the truck.

When my t-case lever is in neutral, no drive at all. The t-case lever is to the left. My 4wd button is on the t-case lever, not the transmission shifter.

HAHAHAHA of course the truck doesn't drive when the transfer case is in neutral!

If the shit lever is in HI, does the 4wd button have to be pressed for the truck to drive? If not, your truck is normal. If yes, than it's an issue in the t-case, or somehow power is not going to the rear axle.

you always want to be in hi..whether it's 2wd or 4wd, except when you want your low gears in which case you'll want to switch into lo...you'll go nowhere with your transfer in neutral.

Yea...I didn't realize that. Truck drives fine now, lol. All I still need to do is bleed the brakes. I still have a hard brake light, but hopefully that will go away when I fully bleed the brakes.
