Help me identify this rear bump stop.

I've had a tiny bit of takeoff shudder since I bought the truck earlier this year(2015 trd sport ac). I was re torquing the rear u-bolts and noticed the bump stops were almost touching the the frame. Seemed odd. Doesn't appear to be oem. The truck has 65k on it now and the rear is stock. Truck doesnt appear to sag at all in the back. Any idea what's up the bump stops?

Sumo springs are tall. While there’s no direct harm in leaving them in, you’ll be riding on them more than you’d like. With a shorter bump stop better suited to your suspension you’d get to use more travel which would translate to a smoother ride over bumps. Although you might sag a bit with the dirt bike in the back on shorter bumpstops.

 

Sounds hackish but it looks like I could just trim them. I don't have the stock ones.

 

Sawzall and a wood blade. Take them down one rib at a time and drive it for awhile. Repeat until they are the desired height. Let your dog play with the pieces you remove.

Looks like maybe cutting 2 of the
sections(cut in half) would be close to factory. I do like the take the truck into the woods sometimes.

 

Sumos are WAY softer than stock bumps. I'd leave them at least a rib taller than the stockers.
