So much space in the back of that cruiser.. why buy a RTT?

No worries. I'm looking at newer Rav4s for a daily/commuter car. 2005 to about 2015 max. Probably won't happen until next year tho.

 

Having just the 4Runner now kinda makes me wish I had a lower profile RTT like that.

 

You go camping with your family though don't you? I guess needing rear space for other people is a legit reason to get a RTT lol

Fill washer bottle with gas and put hose with windshield spray nozzle in carb. Turn key while hitting washer switch. Bugger all. They got home.

 

No, it's just been me and my pup. Now just me. Haven't been able to get a woman to stick around long enough to have 2 people in the RTT yet. Besides, I had originally gotten it for the Tacoma. I've tried sleeping in the back of the 4R, it's just slightly too small for me alone. And then I would have to empty it out of gear to sleep there. So the plan is to make a trailer to put the RTT on and have additional storage. Much like this one here - https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/box-rocket-trailer-build.192955/

How a tall are you? When i had my 4R I couldn't get comfor in the back either.. planned on tearing the seats out and making a platform that worked but then the tweakers happened and I've got the tacoma now to try and make work


I should've just keep my econoline and made it a 4x4 with the amount of money I've put into the tacoma already lol

5'8.5 - 5'9". I had to sleep at a diagonal to get fully stretched out and was still cramped. I could put the RTT on the roof of the 4R but that would add another 12" or more to the height and I would have concerns of fitting in the garage ever again. Or even getting it out once I drop the RTT on it. So that's not ever going to happen. So a trailer is going to happen and @Box Rocket has built himself an amazing one, especially with the years of tweaks and abuse it's seen. So I'll use that thread as a guide.

I'm in my early 50s and can sit crossed legged and stand up from a sitting position like that without uncrossing my legs.
