leave as much of the liner as you can. Form it back with a heat gun and cut what you have to.

Yea that’s what I’m trying to do that’s why I was thinking I should try and leave that bottom clip but I gotta cut some of that fender that’s what the rubbing is now. I’ve cut pretty serious on this cab mount maybe one day I can get ya to weld these plates?

the clip will get loose when you start cutting / bending, zip tie the liner in that spot and it’ll hold better.

You definitely cut a lot off that cab Mount. Let me know when your ready to have the plate welded and we can try to figure out a time.

Mine's still my daily. Once you get comfortable it's amazing the abuse these trucks will take and drive home. I've had to do a few repairs to get home but still drove it home.

this is true. These trucks can take some serious abuse.

Just make sure you keep the mud out of the idler pulleys and debris out of the front main seal......

Both my idlers got to growling after windrock but they went another 6-8 months before I got sick of the noise and replaced them. They got water and mud on them multiple times after windrock too. Mud out of the main seal that sounds like an interesting story. I know what water down the engine does definitely don't do that!:anonymous:

my front main seal blew and I have no other explanation as to what caused it. When the belt came off to replace it I realized that the two uppers, the lower, and the tensioner pulley were all shot.

Yeah maybe some debris like gravel or sand got packed behind there and caused it to leak but it's not uncommon for a seal like that to leak. These engines don't really leak all that often so an oil leak is weird for them anyways. The pulleys all day debris getting into the bearings and destroy them.

That's why I creep and crawl through any water or mud holes best I can. I hate mud in my engine bay, it's just so hard to clean out.

the timing cover leak was a big issue at one point, and still might be. I think Matt’s 2016 leaked there. But outside of that I have not heard of anything.

my truck has been torn apart since Saturday, but I should have all of the pulleys in today and will get it out back together. Crossing my fingers that it’ll be leak free
