We have the 500 gal LP tank. I love having the gas and whoever generator we get will be LP. Our furnace had been set up as LP but since we heat so much w/ wood it was silly to pay the $ to supplement something that was essentially free. So the tank is just waiting for the generator now.
Also look around for deals all the companies want you to lease their tanks so they get more $, but its possible to buy or find a used one.

We've had Suburban Propane for a couple years now. We switched to them after a year with _______? Cant recall who but it was worth price shopping.

At 6 months our lil'peanut was 14lbs 8oz. She now 8 months as of last Saturday and weighed 17lbs 7oz two weeks ago when she ended up at the doc's with a viral fever!! Daycare made a HUGE difference in getting her into a normal day feeding vs. 4x a night for ~20oz of milk and only 2-6oz during the day!!!!!!

    She's adorable and so happy!!!

Made an impulse buy and purchased a Garmin GPSMAP64x. I don't know what I had built up in my head, but this is far from fulfilling my needs. Oh well. Onto BST it goes.....

If you're gonna get another garmin, get one with inreach. I have the mini and it's invaluable being able to text my wife from the middle of nowhere. I like the peace of mind that she can reach me in case of emergency.

Highly recommend the RAM mount as well if you have that system somewhere. It mimics the Garmin clip so it gives positive retention if the worst happens like a rollover or something.

Pricing is a bit high on the plans IMO but when we're out in BFE, it's good to know that between APRS broadcasts and periodic check ins with my parents, someone has an idea of where we are.

I really don't think they're too bad, it's about $12 a month with a one-year commitment. I started out with the freedom plan for $15 a month and no commitment but found myself renewing it every month anyways.

I know. I looked at the Explorer+. Your In-Reach was what initially got me to looking. And I was almost ready to pull the trigger on the Explorer+ when I saw some reviews that stated that in order to have the GPS work you had to pay for the comms. Or something along those lines. I didn't believe it at first, but I found a few other reviews that stated the same. It seems kind of dumb to me because I may not always need to use the comms function when we're out. I still may just purchase the small In-Reach and go with Gaia for nav. It looks like Gaia finally has mapping packages that are biased toward wheeling and overlanding.

Well that is dumb. Keep an eye out for labor day sales on it and you may be able to get it sub $300.

That's a good plan. Still may just do the In-reach like yours and then Gaia. I'd just have to remember to download maps. I already have a tablet holder for the truck and a tablet I haven't used in forever.

And completely off-topic: Is your GMRS antenna sticking up through the Prinsu? Or did you have room otherwise?

It's just between the load bars. When I remove it and put the cap on it, the cap is lower than the rails.

I have the 30"ish long wiry one. Adam has the stubby chode one.

Sanka you. I'm getting close to drilling into the roof. It's the cheapest solution at any rate. At least it'll give me an excuse to pull the headliner and do the sound deadening as well.

Probably headed back up to Skyline drive but I’m going to look into the link you provided. I have issues with making plans way in advance and slot of places you need reservations. The spots in n Skyline drive are mostly first come first serve
