My '72 GT380 took a poop the other night and I had to load it into my Tacoma for the first time -

The small pin that keeps the carburetor slide oriented correctly decided to back out causing my right-most carb to be stuck near full throttle. The bike doesn't have any rev limiter so that was an interesting experience, to say the least.

    Bad:

    All fixed:

I'm quite pleased the pin didn't actually fall out and go missing. Free repairs are the best repairs IMO.

Still trying to figure out whose bike that was. Wish I was more prepared to confront them but wasn't going to put myself in danger lol.

So the more time I spend with my new (new to me) CBR, the more I realize that the wiring in the front end has really been hacked up. I’m currently trying to check on the turn signal relay to solve the fast flashing issue.

The previous owner had mentioned that the bike used to have an aftermarket HID kit for the headlights that had failed, so his mechanic returned it stock.

So far I have found two separate wire looms that are cut and at least one plug that isn’t hooked up to anything. I’m nervous about what I might find if I remove the fairings and get deeper in my investigation.

With all that said, everything works and it just passed state inspection, but I never like to see hacked wiring.

Took the CBR to my favorite parking lot to do some slaloms and emergency braking exercises.

Got a guy that asked if I would want to trade my 2015 Bolt C-Spec for his 2008 Triumph Bonneville. My bike is fully stock and has a little less than 11k miles. From what I know thus far, his bike has around 8,500 miles, aftermarket pipes, rear fender eliminator, and a headlamp fly screen. I am somewhat interested but need to check it out in person before making a deal. What do you all think about such a trade?

1”. I used that because it’s the same diameter as the main support of the rear swing arm.
