    Ok, good to know.

Was reading more in the wheelers thread...
Looks like the website is teasing us with items in stock...
Maybe I'll be basing my lift parts list on availability instead of just want factor.

Can't go wrong with the SPC's. I snagged my front King's ext. Travel w/resi and 700lbs springs from Wheelers for $1217 shipped on black friday.

I would look at going a Deaver or Alcan pack for the rear. You will need to weight your truck though and guestimate what weight you will be running back there to give to them. So they can either make you a leaf pack or suggest which you should buy from them. With a standard or ext. Shock for the rear, you won't need extended brake lines. Also something to think about, you can always buy the LB brake lines for an extra foot. If you go to 12" or 14"'s eventually you will need the extend lines

If youre wanting to go budget, I would save on the rear set up and put the money up front. I have been running nothing but an aal in the rear for the entirety of my 3rd gen life and it has served me quite well. You wont need brake lines and all that for 3" in my experience and you can get the flip kit with a bumpstop for cheap af. I would spend the money on whichever UCA (I have JBAs but the SPCs are definitely a solid option) you choose and dump the rest into a nice coilover.

I'd kinda written off the idea AAL based on my experience with a set 25 years ago.
My last set rode like a empty cement truck.
    Back then they were awful.
Maybe they have improved, looks like tins of kits come with them.
Function wise, what makes a great front spring shock setup? Is there anything to gain from remote res. shocks for crawling and slower activities?

How is Alcan doing with the Tacoma crowd?
I've seen mostly good reviews, but complaint that they run too long and bind on the shackle.
    I'll look up accutune

It rained most of the night in Crested Butte, and the crowds are finally thinning here.
It's been the busiest summer I've ever seen. Went up to lake irwin a few weeks ago and it looked like fricken spring break but without the bikinis. Sailboats and paddle boards everywhere.
Went up slate river rd, the big meadow had more rvs and campers than a nascar race.
Now we are in a real estate rush. Everyone is buying here to remote work and stay out of the city life madness.
    Strange times.

Like Mike said, there are people giving away their stock packs all the time. You can get one then just piece them together to get what you want for $0 spent. As far as the old aal to the new one, they have definitely improved. Most are 3 leaf progressives now. I should have mentioned that I carry 2 fat cows worth of weight around all the time with me so that definitely will help to soften them out.

And I cant argue about the front. Resis are nice and adjustable resis are even more gucci.

Do you have any problem with them fitting inside the stock shackles? I've heard that the second leaf runs all the way into the shackle and has a tendency to stick in there.

no, but I have a first gen without the funky inverted shackle setup the 2nd and 3rd gens come with.
