Pac-Audio SWI-PS question

    I have a quick question about the swi-ps. Does the swi-ps unit have to be unplugged from the back of the stereo in order to program? I installed mine today but didn't have enough time to program and I'd rather not have to take everything back apart again just to program it.

    It needs to be plugged in to program.

    Yep, what he ^^^ said. It has to be hooked up to the truck and HU before you can program it.

    Huh? Instructions say to program it while its unplugged from the HU, then when complete plug it into the HU.

    That's the way I understood the directions but I've never programmed one before.

    I don't think it matters if it's plugged in or not. The module isn't getting any signal from the head unit. It only sends out a signal. I programmed mine two years ago and it was plugged in.
