I can't even imagine how much cash flow some of these outdoor/fishing places are seeing over the last few months. Cool to see people getting outside and businesses making money during a time like this!

Only fishing I've got in lately has been for work. Not sure if you guys would consider electrofishing cheating though. :anonymous:

That’s fucked. That’s the price of a decent rod! Definitely taking advantage.

Before I saw who posted this I'm thinking, who the fuq is poaching trout?

Looks like a good place to drag a nymph.

Backpacked in there about ten years ago. Didn't catch squat. A guy I ran into said he got a couple. Said they tasted like dirt. Oh well, I always release them. Pretty fish.

Who here has fished Shasta? I'm thinking about going up there for some kayak bass fishing with a buddy. Never fished it, but I know there are some nice bass in there.

Went out to the Russian River today. Was going to hit the Delta, but some truck issues prevented me from going anywhere far (and it sounds like the air quality was absolutely terrible out there anyway). Luckily my lady worked today so I was able to take her car down the road to the Russian for a few hours.

We smoked the smallmouth out there! I got 12 or so myself. Most were small, but a couple chunks were caught as well. Either way, still super fun on light gear in a river that’s no deeper than someone’s leg in most areas.

Managed to get only a couple photos/videos. Here’s two:

i found this Penn Levelmatic 920 in the garage. Apparently, my mom says it was my dad's favorite reel in the 70s. it's all metal. has 3 leather drag washers that i replaced with HT-100s. added a 940 double ergo handle (4 wide vs. the stock 3" counterbalanced single handle). it has to be manually switched from free-spool to crank (unlike my abu 5500C or other "modern" baitcasters) but it has a bait-clicker! heavier than the abu 5500C

check your rod tips and guides! this is a 6'6" bass rod that hasn't been used in a long time. dunno if it happened in transport/ sloppy handling or what.
