No, she's a stray? Not sure if an escaped house cat from the neighborhood or a stray but she just showed up one day

I have a feeling she's a escaped house cat because of her appetite, she's a picky eater

Meet Speckles, our latest foster. Young, pregnant and homeless...expecting kittens any day now. This will be a longer term foster, approximately 8 weeks once the kittens are born. Momcat is a bit shy but very gentle.

Cool tortie. Looks like she lost a fight with a black spray can.

Update...after putting SPOT's pic on FB the rescuer got a message from an old friend who is interested in adopting her.
I used to bottle feed SPOT after her mom (GROVER) stopped nursing her. She had an upper respiratory infection; her fur was falling off by her shoulders; she had eye infections, fleas and worms too. The rescuer did a wonderful job and all on her dime!

Consider yourself adopted by the cat. In other words - you're her hooman now!

Thought I would give an update on Leo...the 10 week old we adopted 3 weeks ago. He's doing great. Vet said he looks fine. He goes back this Saturday for some boosters and rabies shots.

He's adapting well. We're finally able to let him out of our room for extended periods of time. The biggest issue has been Juno....our alpha female.

He's eating great, plays hard, sleeps well. Very sweet and affectionate.

Helena took to him immediately. She is so sweet natured....and takes to anything and anybody that walks in the house.

    IMG_02491.jpg

Juno....not so much. She's the alpha of the house. The 1st 2 weeks she wouldn't tolerate anything about him. Lot's of hissing, growling and swatting. We've really had to be careful. She's a very big female...very strong. He doesn't understand why he can play with one and not the other. But things have mellowed some. We actually got all 3 to briefly eat together. But she still won't let him near her. Just going to take time with Juno.
