The stt pro and mtp look damn near identical if you ask me.




Mtp has a y shaped center lug, and the stt pro has 4 diamond-ish shaped lugs

 

it looks like the MTP has slightly bigger outter lugs with bigger shoulders. A good amount cheaper too. Goodyear also sells a more MT oriented version of the duratracs called the Fierce Attitude which are also cheaper.

 

Those fierce attitudes look like the tires that are coming stock on the new ram and bronco. I pretty sure those and the ultra terrains are all the same carcass as a duratrac with different lug patterns

 

I havent' seen the ultra terrains but i'm pretty sure the fierces are the same carcass as duratracs and just rebranded to sell cheaper since they actually don't say Goodyear on them.

im liking ko2s but i offroad so little to really need them. 285 70 17 just looks small on my rig, yet a very functional size. id really like a larger light(ish) c load a/t for now. exploring ideas for now.

I have the BAMF 80" sliders on my 3rd gen, and those look suspiciously different. I wonder if those were an early version, as mine have 4 supports, the gussets are different and the front support where it connects to the frame is very different.

Edit: I don't see the BAMF logo either

Also, they are for a 2nd gen so they probably should be slightly different? Either way, 2nd gen or 3rd gen, Im surprised the bamf logo isn't present. Or they paid extra not to have it?

Edit: just saw on their site, they fit 95-2020 tacomas so design doesn't change.

Also, there's a guy calling op out on the legitimacy of them being actually Bam mfg..

interesting catch on the brand. The Ultra terrains are good year branded and are a discount tire exclusive. I have had them on for a while now after running duratracs for years and wanting something a little different. So far they have been great.

 

The fierce attitudes are/used to be branded Dunlop, which is under the Goodyear umbrella also. The Kelly safaris are also that same tire carcass along with the wal mart exclusive Duratrac knock offs, I can’t remember what they call those
