Thoughts on a chasing down a “small” vibration...

So yes I’ve searched other posts just to get that out of the way lol. My question is simple. Trying to chase down a simple small vibration. It’s nothing major by any means that has me panicking. Truck is glass smooth from 0-45mph. 46-53 a very small vibration can be felt in the seat only.
54+mph glass smooth again. Yes truck is lifted and it has 265/75r16 duratracs on it. My initial thoughts are tire related. However, tires and rims were installed before the lift and were glass smooth at every speed. So why would they all of a sudden start vibrating? No weights have fallen off and alignment was perfect. Truck tracks straight as an arrow. Just puzzling to me. Again it’s nothing major but it’s just that little annoyance that has me asking the question. Maybe driveline related but seems odd to only happen at those speeds. Also doesn’t matter if I’m on the throttle or not. Any insights? Thanks for the help.

Wait till you rotate the tire. If suddenly the steering wheel shakes at those speeds then it’s the tire.

b4 brkes dont actually operate exactly each wheel ( they seldom do )

You figure it out? I've just had a minor to moderate vibration start in the last week or so.

Yes, it turned out to be a tire balance issue even though the 2 times before that I had them re balanced they swore my balance was perfect. Ended up going to another shop. Of course they were way off. They fixed it for the 3rd time and now all is perfect. Just sucks it takes 2 shops and 3 “re balance” of brand new tires to get it right.

Not true at all. Mine, now that they are fixed for the balance issue, are smoother than my stock OEM size. No complaints at all.

Toyota offers like 3 different size tires from the factory, while theyre all nearly the same diameter they are different widths, weights, and manufacturers. The wheels are different as well. The logic of running only what comes on the truck has inherent flaws, those tires wont be manufactured for as long as the truck is on the road.

As the OP stated, its a balancing issue, an issue that exists on stock tires too.

Dang, really. That sucks. Just got my wheels rebalanced today. They said one was off by 1/4oz so it shouldn't have been an issue. Went for a drive after the appointment and vibration is still there.

I'm getting ready for a 1,200 mile road trip this weekend so just trying to get everything looked at. Thursday I'll get an alignment (pretty sure I am slightly out of alignment and I'm coming up on 30k anyway) then I'm hitting the road Saturday. I'll ask them to check a few other things just to be sure there isn't too much play in anything. Checked my driveshaft, no issues there.

Fingers crossed it isn't some issue that's just going to get worse over the 1,200 miles.

If it keeps happening I'll definitely consider getting it to another shop for another balance.

Yeah all my wheels/tires were off by half an ounce or more. One was off by 2 ounces. This is after the second rebalance where they said, “they are all absolutely perfect”. When I went to the other shop who fixed it, they were like who did this balance for you. Lol. Funny thing is, same company but different store. Go figure. Least it’s perfect now and I have zero issues and smooth as glass 0-80. :D
