Finally made it to Windrock this weekend but didn't take my truck out. Demoed/test drove a buggy that a friend is looking to sell. Didn't have a whole lot of time but it walked up trail 15. Did a few of the other easy trails to the top as it hasn't wheeled in a year. If my wife and I can work out the budget thinking this might become a toy for the taco to haul.

I was hoping for neon green with bright pink accents. But I guess blue will look good too.
I love the raptor liner on mine. You weren't kidding about how easy it is to spray.

Fishing near Roan Mtn area. Any suggestions?

Might try to see Cades Cove or even toward Bryson City NC too depending on what lodging i find.

No boat. Just shore fishing or wading.
Cades cove looks like tame water with easy access for kids to fish at but i want to go out a couple days without kids too so i can hike further or wade bigger water if needed.

Haven't decided yet when i might go. Some point between now and Christmas. Lol.

Does anyone else apply fluid film/wool wax once a year? I know we get very little salt here but I do it because my truck is 18 years old and the 1st gen Tundras are notorious for frame rot. My truck has some rust in the box portion of the frame so I do this to keep it from getting worse.

I did a weekend at Tellico river, Bald River this summer and there was some great trout fishing, plenty of camping, and easy access. Tellico River is stocked, at least during the summer, but Bald river is a wild trout stream. There is a primitive campground (Holly flats) at Bald river which was nice, and lots of more improved sites right on Tellico River near the NC border. There were a lot of people on Tellico River in the Middle of summer on a weekend, but not hardly anyone on the Bald river as the lure restrictions due to it being a wild trout stream weed out the worm fishers. Even with the people on Tellico, there were still plenty of spots to fish away from others. There are a lot of miles of river so finding your own area was not difficult. I will definitely be doing this area again. Its beautiful. Trout season goes to catch and release on Oct 1.

Something you might want to look into if you might be thinking of the Tellico area - I have heard that they have or are going to close the road before Bald River Falls up to beyond the fish hatchery for road work.

Tellico is on my list of places to visit at some point but that'll likely be a different trip I think. It's a bit further south from where I'm looking to sleep this trip.

It’s one of my favorite places to explore. Went early spring, couple weeks ago and heading back later this month. Nothing very technical about it but very scenic.

Tellico is a great area to explore and camp. You can spend all day driving forest roads if you want.

Witt road is really fun if you want to do 3-4 water crossings. They get deeper depending on how much rain there is.

You can kind of see it in this - Not my picture, but it rolls up into the cover which has the aluminum mounting track on the back.

Out toward Pickwick and Natchez Trace are closest things I found. Both had spots i wasn't willing to hit solo due to mud. Spot at Pickwick has some big rock steps that I question if my 4R could do without damage. Mostly mild but no way around questionable spots that I saw. Ok for a day trip if you just want out.

Some waterfowl areas North of here if you just want gravel out in the country but not worth a trip unless you are already in the area anyway and just want some nature (not offroading).

Brought to you by potato vision but the Tacoma is in the process of being stripped down to a stock truck minus armor, wheels and tires.
