    As long as the tune knows what low vs high boost is (PSI) and in that case the ECT discrete input would be the flag for the ECU to spice up some tables, but it has to be built in the tune I would think. Until Mat tests what the best approach is we won’t know how to execute boost control.

    We aren't even going to dive into high boost settings until all kits are out, polished, in trucks, etc.

    Any ballpark price for the turbos? Might be keeping my Taco instead of the Tundra afterall so considering SC or Turbos. I remember initially the base kit was around $3800 for tuned users but it seems like the final price is gonna be quite a bit more..lol

    How much would a regular shop charge to install also?

    Due to unforeseen costs of production OVTune has to raise price. He was just generous and didn’t raise prices on the initial buyers or you can even call them investors lol. The amount of the first 25 was on the first page.

    Call up a well known performance shop and just ask what they usually charge to install a turbo kit. Should be easy to find. Ask for references on your region thread on TW or search Facebook.

    I’d say $5000 just to be safe for all parts and you installing yourself.

    Also.. if you are working in the engine bay for an extended period of time, I HIGHLY recommend the Topside creeper. My back was aching the other night crouching over the fenders for hours. I could fall asleep on this thing :rofl:

    If I have a good fit yes, otherwise .045 dabs. First time welding TIG was a month ago, still have a lot to learn!

    Yes sir! Knowing when to stop and walk away to let the part cool is the hard part!

    Doesn’t look like it, but there’s at least 10 hours in making/welding these parts.

    Bilstein 6112/5160s. OME leaf springs. 285/75/16. RC tonneau cover. Supernova v3 led lows, highs, and fog lights. Kicker speaker upgrade.
    So just for clarification, if we want to run 10 psi on the base kit we will need a minimum of DI upgrade but preferably also pump and controller?

    Yes if you want to go above the base kit 7psi you have to upgrade DI

    I found DI for 1600. Called them and he said Mark 9 was on backorder with a shipment coming into the states soon. 11 were already accounted for.

    Knocked out the plugs, coils, and injectors today.

    Yes I drank the orange koolaid. I figured it was an Orange Virus kit, so Orange coils have to go with it, right?
    [IMG]

    Here's a few pics of the injector install. Hope it may help anyone else tackling this. They are UNDER the intake manifold. Not super hard, but definitely not the most fun install.
    Remove the primary injectors, and fuel rail;
    [IMG]

    Then remove intake manifold. TAPE OFF THE PORT HOLES! We want to feed this truck boost...not 10MM nuts.
    [IMG]

    There are hard fuel lines in the back connecting both fuel rails together. 17MM wrench and remove
    [IMG]

    Everything out of the way.. injectors ready to come out.
    THESE ARE A PAIN TO REMOVE. They are a super tight fit. You will have to wiggle them out with force
    [IMG]

    ON the bench;
    NEW MARK V(right) OEM (left)
    [IMG]

    Thought this was cool. Stock nozzel is just 1 slit. The Lexus LS500's have multiple nozzle ports. Don't mind my grubby fingers. Gloves are for sissy's:p
    [IMG]

    TIP: While the fuel rails are out. MAKE SURE to remove the old O rings and plastic retainers. They will be stuck up inside. 2PC per injector hole
    [IMG]

    The aftermath...lol
    [IMG]

    All back on and on the home stretch..
