Ranch caps?

Shitty garage pic.
Fit is good, I dig it. Sliding windows all around, hatch door is the only thing I would consider a tad "basic" compared to the newer style full glass doors, etc.
Can't complain at all for the price.

One thing I did after getting mine home was remove the little weather strip rubber flap from the lower edge of the rear door. I found that it hung down and contacted the paint, even after only a 75mile drive I noticed it left a wear mark on my paint.

It didn’t even seem to do anything to keep water out, as the aluminum frame of door hung down low enough to create a drip rail anyway.

 

The aluminum is the drip rail, the rubber strip is to help seal out water and dust that circulates around the rear of the truck while going down the road.

Funny you say that. I had a kb voodoo tailgate cap on this morning and I had to pull the cap back a little when i first put it on for the door to shut. it stuck out further than the stock plastic cap so I switched with my dad for his stocker this afternoon so it would close more flush...

 

About to order mine since ranch is one of the only makers that still males vented “windoors” that is also skirted over the bed rail

Very satisfied with mine. Fit and finish is excellent. The roof is reinforced standard.

 

Sudssman, Beautiful Truck! I have basically the same (2010 AC Pyrite w/ matching Ranch cap, steel wheels) and I was wondering if you could answer a few questions for me. I don't know if my cap roof is reinforced standard and not sure how to tell. Also, what size tires/wheels and suspension set up do you have? Thanks in advance.

 

Look inside where the roof starts to curve down you will see an added layer of material in the roof that covers most of the flat portion of the roof. That is a cardboard matrix coated with fiberglass that forms the reinforcement. As for my truck I did bilstein 5100s all around with the fronts set on the second notch (.85” I believe) and I did a 2” Deaver AAL in the rear. The wheels are stock 16” and the tires are basic 245/70 BFGs, nothing fancy. Glad you like it!

I paid 1800. I got lucky. Someone ordered it and it came in and it had a small nick on the roof. The customer denied it. I was at the shop at the right time. They wanted 2100 for it. I talked him down to 1800. The salesman told me it was $2800. It does have some extra options. Sliding front window, drop down front window, and rug lined interior. Like I said, I got very lucky. It was even my paint code.

 

Sounds like a great deal. I found a dealer near me. Going to call tomorrow. The side rear are pop outs ?
