TRD/ Magnuson 4.0 Supercharger Tips, Tricks, and Mods

Too bad URD isn't as proactive on this forum like @JustDSM , URD always responded to me a few days after an email. When I call I always get someone to pick up and it's usually Gadget. UCON is quite advanced so if it doesn't work from initial plug in and it was already set up from URD for your truck specifically then there is more to it than the ucon (just my opinion). Again, I'm sure the ucon and hp tuners are equally good, just that tuning services seem to be more readily available/convenient from@JustDSM.

Lol I’m pretty sure the op of this thread told me to ask here before reaching out to manufacturers. I did reach out to gadget prior, I asked here days later if the ucon had a learning procedure.

 

Did they say what the issue might be? or were they standoffish on supporting secondary ownership?

 

They were not standoffish at all. They asked for information regarding the unit and who owned it originally. I used hptuner over the weekend and I like the idea of being able to control my tune and truck to some degree, and if I’m going to have to rewrite the ucon or the ecu, I might as well just write the ecu. Also, The ucon is a pita to get unplugged, and I’m tired of doing that over and over to test things.

 

Anyone know where I can get o2s with longer pigtails to plug into long tube headers?

 

Forget water/ meth injection. Whose gonna be the first to try this mod? A little tuning and it should be a major power adder.

Scott has told me in the past that UCon needs the rear o2 sensors functioning. Maybe that could be your problem since you have the ECU flashed to eliminate those. UCon has rear o2 sims built in so there is no need to flash your stock ECU to get rid of those. I'd start by flashing the stock ECU to show those o2 codes and see if that helps

 

this passes the common sense test and possible solution test with flying colors.
