Hey there first time posting but I've been lurking for a few months. So the rear seat behind the driver side in my truck is missing the seat latch that bolts to the body. I'll attach a couple of pictures of the location. The bolts are still there but the metal anchor is just totally gone. I can't seem to find the part for it online pretty much looking for any advice haha Thanks!

Where did it go? Did you buy the truck used?

Yep I got it used back in April. It bolts to the back of the cab behind the plastic storage bin. The bolts are still in side of mine but the actual locking point is gone.

I'm also looking at the schmoo/stains going down the plastic in the rear of the cab.. early doublecabs had an issue with the third brake light leaking.

No evidence of water intrusion at the headliner etc?

Sorry I just got a chance to get back on here. Third brake light was leaking but had it fixed about a month ago.

The holes are there behind the plastic the original bolts are still in place. I’ve been trying to find the part online but can’t seem to figure out the actual name for it. I agree with y’all about taking it back to the dealership. The mechanism that locks the seat it looks stuck and the previous owner must have taken off the anchor instead of fixing the problem:facepalm:

Is that the striker that's missing? Is this it?

In the collective time spent looking online a trip to the dealer could have been made.

I'd be asking the dealer to pony up for a missing 'safety part'.

But if you are going to DIY, and the parts guy is clueless, show him a truck on the lot with the part installed, show him yours missing.
