those with 35s should do what 35s do. Those less prepared should only do what they're prepared for.

I thought about it this morning and having someone with 35s leading someone with AT 29's is going to be not-so-fun for one of the two lol. Breaking shit isn't fun. Doing less than your truck is capable of isn't fun either.

not sure if i have a point or an answer to any of this lol.

I would argue that doing things with someone better than you (or better equipped) will only make you better at that thing.

But, yes. Probably break all the things.

110% agree with that statement. And pushing yourself is the only way to learn. But not pushing it too far is the hard part. New guys (like myself) have a difficult time finding that line to tippy toe.

Deeds - i had a blast following you all weekend. I'm glad i dipped off when you guys did that black run lol

Y'all could've made it up one of the 2 actual bypasses.
Which we didn't know existed. And would've helped me avoid a massive dent and scrape on my passenger side, but I wasn't about to let Steven fuck up his pretty new truck and saved his ass!

Sometimes you just gotta tuck the tail and ask for the strap or winch... I had to do that at least once each time I go to Rush lol. Go back to camp, take your shit for it, and drive home in a dentless truck!. I admittedly am a whimp when it comes to skinny pedal. I wont stay in anything....but Im ok with that.

Look up some fastener specs and understand the shear and clamp force numbers. You'll be surprised how much is packed into a lil baby bolt. That's why a little bit of throttle bump isn't a bad thing.

Get a 3 year alignment and then go full send. That's probably the most common thing to get knocked out.

Speaking of.... @Summers_Kytaco_19 I'm going to need to hit you up! I may change my tie rods first though.

I got a 5 year at TD for $179 i think. It was a solid deal. I also ordered wheels and tires. Got the 3 year warranty on each tire for $30. I can knock my shit out of alignment and/or lose a tire and still have that peace of mind lol

@Summers_Kytaco_19 is going to be working my alignment for years to come haha.

@JohnnyRed I have Moog Tie Rods, but never installed them. I carry one for a trail replacement. Any real reason to replace them if i don't have any issues? I think the Moogs are greaseable is the only difference

I know that. I was talking about riding with someone in off road truck. I leave my truck at the camp.

When my truck is off road ready, then I go anywhere.

I am saying is that I'd like to next meet. That way I don't have to wait for a year for rush.

My GF will likely not come to any meets because it would be a handful for the 2 60lbs dogs to come along. they're not huge on being thrown around the truck lol. I have a doublecab and i'll usually have at least the rear seats open for ride alongs.

please oh please don't spill beer in my truck next time :)

The solution is have a second group do easy trails. We say we're going to do it every year then every year without fail we get there and nobody wants to nut up and just go make a green trail ride so everyone gets in line with trucks that want to do hard shit. We need to just draw lots for whatever built truck is gonna lead the easy ride each day and do it.

Yeah this- lifetime alignment totally worth it on my Tacoma, and paid for in less than a year. That said, also make friends with one of the alignment techs at the shop who knows what theyre doing lol.

@b3itz I didn't actually get to see you wheel any (and didn't see your truck in vids I don't think)- how was that pig? It seems like your tone has changed a little bit since before the meet lol

You need the actual tie rods (inner) more so than the ends (outer). Bent one of my stock ones a while back.

    This for sure!

Can't be having unlocked bald AF no driver mod street tires on black trails.
