    Listen here junior, I know how to cook tri tip. The "locking in the juices" is a myth. I see no benefit to a sear on my tri tip. It's perfectly tender and juicy as is. You cook it your overcomplicated way, I'll do it mine :duel:

    I’ve only done one without a reverse sear and it wasn’t nearly as good. What’s complicated about an extra 2 minutes of cook time :boink:
    But if you enjoy it you keep doing you booboo
