So here goes a GregStory...yeah the term has existed since late middle school.

Bit of background on the NE Sports Flag/DieHard Fan. My dad's parents were born/raised in Boston/Brookline, MA...they were Boston Braves baseball fans, my grandpas frat house (while attending MIT) was 2 blocks from their then stadium and my grandparents frequently walked to games from the house...anyways "Black Friday" March 13, 1953 the Braves abruptly moved to Milwaukee. They decided to follow the "other ball team in town" (can't tell you how many times I heard about Warren Spahn's ill-fated diner).

Anyways my grandpa relocated to WA as a professor, so my father was born and lived in WA for 7 years, then to CA until he was 12; while in Pasadena (grandpa was working at NASA JPL) and began following the LA Rams before moving out here to VA. He's been a lifelong Red Sox, Celtics and Rams fan.

Ok jump to 1998 when the then LA Rams moved to St. Louis, he literally said to me, "Well the Rams are moving, to all places, St. Louis. I am going to just stick with them, what about you?" I just decided since I was already a Red Sox/Celtics/Bruins fan...might as well just follow the Patriots. Of course 1999 St. Louis won the SB by a YARD, Dad was THRILLED. The next season ended up starting the Brady/Belichick Dynasty.

More pointedly my now late grandmother attended the 1946 St. Louis Cardinals vs. Boston Red Sox in Boston as a 16 year old. 2004 ALDS going into Game 4 (I was home for the weekend from college) I stopped with groceries for her and started to talk about the game, she said, "I don't think I'll get to see the Red Sox as World Series Champions, I fear it's going to be like last year...almost but baseball isn't hand grenades. I have lost hope in the Sox." I told her you gotta hold out hope, no matter how bad. The rest is history and she got to see the World Champion Banners raised for 2004, 2007, 2013.

    I'll check it out.

Great story. I always like to know how someone became a fan of one team or another. That usually translates to an interesting family history. Mine's not that exciting, I grew up outside of Buffalo so hockey and football. My wife is way more into baseball than I am, but we do want to visit all of the stadiums someday.

That's cool. Do you have a website where you found that? I'd like to get a full size image.

I've only been to 6 so far. Some years ago it was 'poor newlywed problems', now it's 'poor parent problems'. Guess it'll be a retirement goal

Well the thought of upgrading the wifes' car is more than likely a most do... EVERYONE IS OKAY. Note the circled broken in half LCA.
    20200901_215017.jpg
Old man didn't turn on the opposite on ramp, wife was on the offramp, his truck slammed into a tree on the upside of the embankment, and the trailer and truck whipped around...my wife almost completely dodged the trailer.
27767.jpg 20200901_182329.jpgso he was coming in the opposite direction and (wife says he was a dick, uncooperative w/troopers and ems, appeared drunker than a skunk, was treated by EMS and arrested)27768.jpg 27771.jpg
So of course I ended up picking up a trailer of rounds yesterday morning right around the corner from my office, so thankful that after getting the call from the wife I just happen to end up behind the responding fire truck from our exit to the emergency cut thru for a quick U-turn vs. driving 6 miles to the next exit and looping back to the exit ramp!

You can see the trailer and taco in the background of the rear qtr panel ding from her bumping the gal in the right lane as a result of her evasive maneuvers/getting thumped by the big ass trailer. 20200901_182259.jpg 20200901_193842.jpg

Now the real dilemma begins. What is she gonna get SUV or Mommyvan, I mean minivan!?!?

Gotta get the 21st century minivan: White 4runner, spacer lift, TRD rims. They're all over the place in Utah. Walked the dog past a park where the kids' soccer games are held and it looked like a fleet sales lot.

    SUV is the new mom-taxi.

Get her a T4R or GX

no way I would be hauling my kids in a small car like that to begin with.

So she saw the overland bound or whatever GX initial wheel and tire mod video...they're sharp for sure.

I think she's initially looking at SUVs w/ flipdown 3rd row, at least that was what she said this morning. So far she's mentioned: odyssey, highlander, explorer and if she doesn't commute anymore the GX or t4r.

Prob Lifestyle Overland. Her GX is a thing of beauty. Only downside is they take premium.

Yeah so I went and bought a replacement car seat, expect it wasn't the exact replacement model. Damn stores don't have it so...Amazon weekend for the win.
And the V8 with a 95 mile round trip (if and when her office.opens or they don't let her continue working from home!):spending:

Our GX 460 gets 19-21mpg. It’s better than you may think as long as you don’t drive it like an asshole. I got 25mpg driving it to the beach
