    Well it wasn't all today more so over the last week or so, but got a face lift with some new fog lights and light bar, next up is the @HomerTaco grill I got. Installed the Icon 2.5 coilovers with Toytec AAL's out back to give me a bit more room over the leveling kit that was on there with the bilsteins so I could clear my new wheels and tires.

    AC compressor has been replaced, blowing cold again. $1000 from a local shop vs $2500 from dealership. Guy said this was only the 2nd Tacoma he's ever seen this happen too. Unlucky me I guess...

    Mine was just diagnosed with a bad compressor. Glad summer is over . Told them to check the magnetic clutch relay first and they said they did and the compressor is screeching :mad:

    Come to NC, you can have all you want. I had over 13 inches at my house during the month of August, and started September off with a slosh. two thunderstorms in a row within 4 hours left me 5 more inches.

    Wettest August ever for this area.

    Just watched a video on how to change the compressor ( even though I’m mechanically challenged) doesn’t look like a lot of work for $1000 to $2500 :eek:

    Yea I watched a video as well. Seems pretty straight forward, I even do refrigeration and HVAC for work so I've got all the tools/equipment to pull a vacuum and add a charge, I just honestly didn't want to deal with it. If the compressor torched itself and sent metal shavings into the condenser then you have to replace that as well as the discharge line filter drier. Even more of a pain. The shop pulled my compressor apart and said it was spotless inside so it wasn't needed. The labor was $420 and parts were $500 and it has a 3 year warranty. Doesn't do that if I did it myself. I'd rather an actual professional do it while I'm at work doing the same thing to a freezer at an Albertsons lol

    Yes ,everything I’ve read says to replace condenser and drier also . I will definitely pay to have it done I just don’t know when . $63 to have Toyota tell me it was the compressor and not the relay . Bastards
