Our old apartment in Ashland was jumping up from 925 to 1200...Luckily this apartment (2bd 1ba) we actually have a washer and dryer so we only pay to run it. Gas heat and stove, electric has been fairly "cheap" even with running the window ACs. And our old apartment we were basically in the attic... windows only in the bed rooms so now being on the first floor, having windows, and washer/dryer we can suck it up for now. But obviously we'd be paying less with a mortgage than now.

When we got approved last year we only got approved for like 115k overall and my jaw actually dropped when I read that. Meanwhile we were doing out the math being like "we can definitely afford a 200k house easy blah blah blah"....apparently not according to the bank lol

I've been looking into I guess the state has some pretty good options for loan options from the NH Housing Finance Authority that we may look at when the time comes.

Check out if there's a "first time home buyer's class". We did that, sat in a library for a few hours listening to the most boring things - actually, did learn some stuff about the mortgage and buying process, BUT more than 2/3 of it was how to budget and how much it actually costs to get a coffee at Dunky Dee's every day. :frusty::frusty::frusty::frusty::frusty::frusty::frusty::frusty::frusty::frusty:

Worth it, though, the company that hosted it qualified us more readily because of it. Not sure what student loans are doing, that might be killing your pre-approval.

    Ashland...New Hampshire? 1200/mo?

    :goingcrazy:

I mean maybe because of P State but good god that's brutal.

In about 2.5 years, if it works out, I'll be joining the party as well.

Yeah we planned on taking a class now for that reason. And that's why we left that place...the moment we heard that we started looking, even before we both got new jobs "down south"

I look at Zillow every day like a crack addict.
If it was time, there were several I would have pulled the trigger on.

The GF and I look just for fun. Kind of backfired on me last summer; although the camp is nice, it sort of tripled our 'mortgage' budget

Unless something happens to the area, fortunately the housing prices in NH rise normally, it's not like in a few years, the house is double in cost or something like that. Unless something random happens like a plant opens up or something, that can change some stuff but realistically, normal house cost increases over time.

I get tempted time to time. Probably not going to move back up there though. I'm down south where there's less cold. Don't mind the snow, hate the cold. We might take the opposite extreme to Texas.

That is true and to be expected.
Wish I can sell mine right now as the prices down here are insane with all the New Yawkers fleeing and buying everything in sight. On weekends, all you see is New Yawkers looking around.
I've been mortgage free for years and I probably can get close to double what I paid 21 years ago.

The CCV catches oil vapors and prevents them from getting out. Typically, it re-routs it to your intake so you can burn off the oil vapor.

When you have enough vapor, it'll collect together and just make lots of oil. Then it plugs your EGR, your valve train, and fuck everything up.

Also, any catch can is better than no catch can any day. And its going on a non-deleted 6.7... of course its going to be complicated as hell...

Hey short notice anyone want to do a trip this weekend Friday night and/or Saturday night? Family festivities Sunday in Chelmsford MA. I was thinking from R.I. maybe go up to central NH area, I could do southern Maine north of sebago too. NMW probably too far for that short of a trip and short notice.

I know it’s short notice but figured I’d ask if anyone’s up for it.

Something like this would work as i'd be a retired old fart.
Fishing and chooting in the backyard. And a big ass garage.
No neighbors except for dead people in the cemetery.
This came up a couple days ago...

Interesting how one dip shit can give a whole company a bad image, kind of reminds of something else.
