how did you deal with gap along the front rail on the bed, seeing how there is step down from the bed sides

 

My very first cap I got for my Dakota was from street road acc. And had no problems. As far as the gap I didn’t have to deal with it because I had it installed by cottman corp.

 

IMO those guys are thieves.

@blackout14 has a good Local place for caps. Hopefully he’ll chime in.

 

None of them are bad I ultimately went to the one who had the best price an advertised pricing on there website. It was Ishlers truck caps they are out near Lancaster it was about a 40 minute drive once my cap came in but I ordered it via the phone and they installed it for free and did a good enough job. I’ve bought parts from Cottman Corp though and other then a window being the wrong size once everything was fine. You will get better service from the local guys if you buy from them though. But either of them would be my choice if cottman budged at all on the price they would have gotten the deal.

 

But when you buy a new cap Chris they come with a thick chunk of rubber (atv at least) they put up there for our trucks to deal with it. Mine hasn’t been off once but has no leaks cept for the ones I created cutting stuff off

 

As if the trains horns weren’t noisy enough I’m adding a PA system which happens to have a bunch of sirens and horn sound with it.

I tried reading through the thread quickly but nothing popped up.

The first one they delivered was bent and they never came and picked it up and send another one.

Was it the side of it that was bent? I saw in their videos that each bumper is inspected to make sure the measurements are within the error tolerance. It must have been bent during shipping or ARB messed up lol.
