I did an entire stretch to San Antonio which was 12 hours. Same for coming back from Houston.

Glenwood Springs is about the same.

But yes, @Juisebocks, without my co-pilot, I would not be going on this trip, lol.

 

16 hours from Devil's Tower to St. Louis.

it's a very neat place. We were there in August 4 years ago, my favorite thing is the fact that it's deathly quiet out there even though you're in the middle of the wilderness. Even the squirrels are quiet. And talk about wide open spaces... I'm getting goosebumps just voice texting it here.

Be warned, in the state of Wyoming absolutely nothing is open on Sundays. And devil's Tower is 2 hours from nowhere.

 

I love how I70 goes on top of each other outside of Glenwood Springs. Making me jealous reading this I want to go on a trip....

 

When I moved from Wyoming in 2012 I did two round-trips between Sheridan and KC in about 4.5 days, one with a co-pilot and one without, roughly 15 hours each direction. Absolutely don't recommend.

Probably the worst I do now when not on vacation is running out to the salt mines in central KS. About 9 hours round trip, plus varying levels of on-site work. Makes for a long day.

have you upgraded your spindles yet?

cant remember if thats part of long travel or not lol

 

I just did spindle gussets. In some cases a spindle is part of the kit if there is a double shear joint at the spindle to UCA.

I'm thinking about getting rid of the spare tire carrier. Gosh this thing has made its way around town haha
