Tuning has been the issue. Supercharger kits could have dropped anytime since 2016 but there was only one tuner in town. It’s no coincidence that this kit came out right around the time that VFtuner was opened to developers.

@SDHQ OFFROAD had one on a dunk today. Doesn’t look like they have released any numbers yet though....

Does it seem especially odd nobody is releasing dyno numbers?
Every time Ive dyno'ed something I couldn't wait to show everyone the numbers.

My buddy got one installed and got told he couldn't post anything about it until Magnuson had officially opened everything up to the public, so maybe he'll publish something soon. But he's currently down in the middle of Mexico on an overlanding motorcycle trip, so it might be a bit.

I can say that he told me that it's got great power and he's got 35's and armor and some other heaviness.

Magnuson called me and said they are taking orders directly and are looking to ship by end of Sept. I asked for the dyno chart too and the sales rep explained how the dyno chart looks but said they'll be posting a dyno chart on their website soon.

"It's got two lines right next to each other, one is blue one is red, ours is the blue and it follows the red closely until about 2200 rpm then the blue line goes a little bit higher but starts to taper off about 5000 rpm". Is that how they explained what it looked like?

    Actually... yes... lol

He did say that there were significant gains at lower RPMs but the biggest gains were around 3000rpm. But lower engine speeds than that he said that Toyota's restrictions cut power on the dyno.

Can someone interpret what "Toyota's restrictions cut power on the dyno." means to my two brain cells?

OVT also mentioned this in his tuning/turbo threads. That Toyota has programming to prevent going full throttle at low RPM.

Magnuson is using OVT's software to build their tunes though. So any developments that are made can be used with the SC tune. But that will mean a custom (user built) tune since Magnuson's tune is locked in VFT i've heard

I’d say they are probably trying to smooth out the hump that took OV months to figure out. Before vs after, little hump is the ACIS valve he says. (Hub dyno on the low boost TT)

Like "traction control" only for torque. More torque is available but the ECU won't let u access it for whatever reason.
