1st Gen Lunchtable Thread - General Discussion

My dad was thinking of buying a full size cnc machine

 

I haven't, but that's because I've already ordered all I need from 3 other vendors.

For something I ordered roughly 2-3 weeks ago, and had to be made, I'd say turn around was fucking kwik.

 

That's pretty sweet. I miss having access to a cnc.

 

I’ve been eyeballing a CBC plasma table

 

Sadly he decided not to.

though I been thinking of getting my own shop. Or if my dad decided he wants to retire ill probably take over the payments for his shop

 

As it stands next year I will probably be breaking ground on a 5000 so ft building that I’ll also build living quarters in.

 

Don't need hardener when the product is already rock solid

If i was single I would build a loft into a shop and live there.

I’m figuring if I section off 1000sq ft for living space and do 2 levels that’s 2000sq ft to live in... MORE than enough for me and the lady

New toy arrived today. 60amp plasma cutter.
1 piece of the puzzle for my cnc plasma table.

 

Sounds like what I'd hear in my old neighborhood

Wow that is fast as shit given today's climate.. i know my shop has a 4-6wk lead time at the moment

 

Those are about 5k which is dirt cheap for a cnc... so long as you're okay just making parts smaller than a dinner plate and softer than aluminum

 

I'd have to take up smaller hobbies for sure. Maybe wooden RC cars or something.

 

That was fast. Putting an adjustable on top of Panhard drop brackets?
