I heard the General Grabber AT2 are a great tire and last a long time. I was going to get that tire but decided I wanted a more aggressive tread and the Kevlar sidewall.

i had a ford a while back and happened to buy a set of good year duratracs and i loved them. didnt have any complaints or anything. i liked them more than the bfg all terrains and the bfg commercial t/a's. in my opinion i think bfgs are over rated. another good tire i heard was really good was the cooper stt's. i plan on getting stt's when i get a lift for my truck this coming spring

Hey can someone give me a hand with the BFG AT's...

Been shopping around on tirerack for 265/75/16's and notice two options...whats the difference between: 123/120S and the 123Q ones?

Which would be better for my 09' Access Cab, V6, 4x4, SR5?

    Thanks

then why do many of them get the severe snow rating.

aggressive A/Ts usually have good siping and do much better in snow than m/ts.

If you dont suggest ats what do you suggest?

I voted other because I am a huge fan of the Toyo M/T. Pretty quiet and smooth for an M/T and if you take care of them they will go a long way.

Gotcha, just wondering. I've always had good luck with a/ts but not soccermom a/ts like the stock dunflops. I'm talking real agressive a/ts that look like m/ts but with siping like duratracs, bfg commercial traction ta

for a dedicated winter tire. Hard to beat firestone winterforce for price and performance

The 123/120s is snow rated with a deeper tread depth and softer rubber than the 123Q. The 123Q is more of a highway all terrain for highway/commercial vehicles designed for better lifetime mileage with harder rubber. Sacrificing the snow rating for a longer road life.

If you do any time on snow or ice, I have not had a tire compare to the Duratracs.

my buddy in ny runs a plow company. he put grabber at2 on a 2500 ext. cab shortbed, duratracs on his 2500 double cab short bed, and bfg at kos on a 1500 reg cab. he has also run cooper ST, hankook m/ts, and dunlop mud rovers.

i have run bfg commercial traction t/a, bfg km1, primewell pa100, and hankook m/ts, and goodyear MTR (non kevlar)

Between the two of us weve used alot of tires in snow and mud, by for the duratracs are best in snow, the dunlop mud rover and GY Mtrs are the best summer/mud tire

The sidewalk tread on the duratracs look funky. Bfgs are a staple and everyone has them for a reason. The numbers show, but in the end it's your truck your choice. You may not care but grass is always greener either way.

BFGoodrich have never steer me wrong. Their sidewall strength comes in handy when you airdown.

I don't have much experience with the BFGs yet, only had them for about 2000 km. But they blow my previous Firestone Destination ATs out of the water. On ice they seem to grip way better and in snow I can get further in 2WD with the BFGs. The BFGs perform well in mud so far too. They do fling debris everywhere though, and are a little noisier than the old tires, not that that bugs me. BFGs seem to be a great choice for mixed driving.

ive had both BFG AT are over priced and useless in the snow cause they dont have self cleaning treads, Love my duratracs they can pretty much go any where, and they look way better then the BFGs in my oppion, the trade off i they are a little noiser then the BFGs but thats it

5100's all the way around. Front set at .85. Camburg Spindles. Camburg Uniball 1.25 UCA's. Total Chaos LCA skid plates. Custom Deaver 10 pack rear leaf spring. BFG AT KO's 285/70/17, Weathertech floor liners, Wet Okoles. Midland CB/PA, Firestick.
BFG AT KO's 285/70/17 - Looks sharp - Rides well on Street and off road and is a great "All Terrain" tire. If you are talking about extremes like Mud or Snow, then get the appropriate tire - A brand new set of BFG AT KO's are the best All Terrain tire hands down!
