Put some on before the summer started and love them. Little loud on the road, but have no complaints. 265/75R16 load E.IMG_8765.jpg IMG_8822.jpg

Check out my build thread (Beginning of Money Pit)
When I had 255s, I ran 35-37 psi, I got about 40k out of them, before I changed them

might have to finally turn on my cooper brethren and go with another tire soon. Cupping is very clear now, no vibes or anything but definitely visual on the edges and alignment is spot on.

Any pics? You think it might be due to spinning while aired down?

Exactly wah the Duratracs I had on my 4Runner did. Never off road either. I would love to know what causes this.

same here. I notice it on my friends STMAXX too. Not sure if its just something that happens or is it actually cupping? No vibrations or anything so thats good at least and rotated often. Otherwise been great tires.

It happened on my Duratracs at around 30k miles. They started breaking traction in the rain bad. I ultimately slid into the back of an older F250. $5k worth of damage, mostly because I had a damn bull bar (never again). The guy got out, looked at mine, looked at his, laughed and drove away. As I approached stops, or while in stop and go traffic, you could feel the 4R walking/rocking side to side. When I got my 17' Tacoma Sport I tried out the Ridge Grapplers, in E range. Loved them. But again, at 30k miles they seemed to start to get considerably louder and breaking traction. The truck was totaled for me so I never got to evaluate them past that. I was able to push the Duratracs to almost 50k miles.

My most important criteria is snow traction, then wet, then Offroad. I don't really care how quiet or comfortable they are. MPGs matter of course and longevity too. But first and foremost, they have to get me from point A to point B in one piece in any weather. My commute is 44 miles one way coming home from work. Winter snows can freeze quick on the roads where I live. I drive from the city, to highways, to 2 lane blacktop country roads. So leaving downtown with a dusting will fool ya. By the time I make it home, it can be 4" of hard pack, that was plowed, salted and froze over.

I always save my ultimate judgment for my own driveways before any tire gets my seal of approval and becomes my go to.

My driveways are steep, old worn blacktop, so they're slick. 1" will stop a FWD car with dedicated snow tires.

Fortunately, we've been really lucky the past half dozen years and it seems we've ducked all the storms everyone else has gotten. Even my buddy in New Mexico averages 5x more than us. We're due though. We got one this past winter but it was wet snow, not a lot, maybe 3" and the ground was too warm for it to freeze. I still had to go into 4WD but only Hi, not Lo. It walked up in Lo so I didn't even mess with any of the traction goodies.

I'm looking forward to getting Offroad this fall and winter again. So.........

    :fingerscrossed:

You guys are funny. It's easier to become confirmed as a Saint than it is to sell surplus state equipment (believe me, I've had to do it.)

Besides, I'm now down to 46 total tires because I had to put two on the front of a truck that had sidewall punctured Duratracs. That truck drove fine with no pull to the right. I'm thinking all of the issues I'm seeing is just with my truck in the fleet.
