My experience with having one on my 2001 was keep that area clean. It likes to trap all kinds of shite between it and your hood. Leaves, sticks, dead bugs... what have you. I took mine off when I sold that truck and wished I'd never put it on. It serves no purpose other than cosmetics.

Very nice. We have a family cottage on Sturgeon. If I was up there right now I would be a hppy camper, and invite you over for a socially distant beverage. I honestly have no idea as to how useful they really are... but for $40 I figure it would be a good “cosmetic” add on since I like the look of it.
And if there are actually any usefulness that this product gives, then that’ll be extra!

I notice that bias as well. I wont go into it because I've already had my posts modified so the mods apparently didn't like what I had to say either, but I agree that it isn't fair. Even if you disagree with someone's beliefs, its not right to have unequal punishment (banning, post editing, etc...). Happy to follow the rules here, until someone else breaks them and is not dealt with.

Hopefully what's been previously stated is food for thought for everyone. That being said it might be best if we all just moved on.

Was going to do my raised glove box lettering today, now all I have to do is figure our where the hell I put them! o_O

10 minute mod and so far I've been looking for those letters for 2 days. I've got too much stuff!! Oy!!!! :frusty:

I actually started installing the vinyl glove box letters the other day and within seconds knew they weren’t for me and removed them. I did order red though and I think it was just too much red all in one spot for my liking. Thinking I might actually order the cement ones and see if I like them better. What color did you go with for yours?

My positive note of the day, found out from a fantastically helpful TW member who has Pioneer 6600 w maestro RR2 and Germes how to get it all working. Haven't had a chance to execute but I am so grateful to this forum for providing such a wealth of knowledge to help us get the most of our purchases. I've learned a lot in the past few months and I look forward to learning more in the future. Cheers all and happy upcoming labor day weekend, may you enjoy the fruits of your Tacoma mod labor!

I went with the silver (very subtle) metalic to stay with my silver and grey on MGM paint and graphics. It also goes well with my embroidered console cover that Kylin did for me. I'm what may be in the minority that actually like the contrast of the "small" chrome accents after nixing (or about to nix) the chrome rear bumper with my yet to be installed FabFour rear bumper as well as my previously installed Pro grille. The chrome cheese grater and rear bumper were just out of place and didn't balance well with the rest of the truck. My color scheme may not be for everyone but I'm very happy with it.

There are indentations on the glove box. They go there, but make sure the Ts are in the correct spot.

These are the 3D cement ones, however I did throw a thin coat of touch up paint and clear coat on them:

Don't get me wrong, if I could afford a couple more Tacomas I'd also have one that was blacked out and minus any graphics and one that was debadged and clean altogether.

The nice thing about a Tacoma is that there are so many different looks attainable.

Side Mirror adjustment fuse name, number, location???? No ability to adjust mirrors electrically now.
I need some help. I've searched but cannot come up with what fuse is associated with the mirror adjustment switch.
    Does anyone know the answer?

I did install the KTJO Door Bowl Lighting kit and that may have been the problem but not sure.
Many thanks for any answers or suggestions

Getting KO2s mounted right now. I guess now I’m that dickhead sitting here watching the poor tech like a hawk while he works. Nerve wracking watching them put a truck with 300 miles on the odometer up on the lift.

I’m sorry I can help with a fuse, but I would recommend pulling the door handle, disconnecting and reconnecting the harness. If that doesn’t work, I’d take out the ktjo adapter and see if the factory harness is still powered/working.

If you’ve already done all that, this post might serve others with the problem.

    What’s wrong with redundancy?

What is the largest tire I can put on stock suspension?

what size lift and tires are you running?

can you please post a link?
    (Link posted 5 posts back)

EDIT: I do apologize, the wife and I are taking a weekend trip and I’m trying to drain a little of my smartass so she doesn’t get annoyed. Thank you for your understanding.
