I too like the GFC's :crapstorm:

    but i also like Drifters

I think of the GFC as an "improved camper shell w/ tent" and the Drifter is more of a "sheet metal house/bunker on wheels"

but im way too poor for either :bananadead:

Kinda how I look at it. Drifter is much nicer in comparison but I do like the idea of the GFC as well. But I too, am too poor for either lol

The Drifter is a better built product in my eyes. The GFC is about 60lbs lighter however and is less top heavy compared to the Drifter. I'd love to put a Nomad on a full size truck one day, but I have priorities at the moment.

I don’t disagree with you except I’d qualify it. I think the Drifter is meant to be wheeled where the GFC is meant as a camper the goes on a 4x4. It’s a subtle difference you won’t notice for a while.

The same thought led me to building my own camper...500+ hours later I’m like 70% there.

Just to clarify 500 hours divided by 168 hours in a week equals 2.9 weeks....so yeah, a few weeks.

Damn. I would love to, but Holiday week end is already booked up.

    :(

None of it includes fishing, I'm afraid. Packing up some of the house, and looking at rentals.
