I never even knew this was a thing! Does not look homemade. Pre Tacoma in a double cab long bed.

Wow I have never seen that setup before! I have seen the cabs with the hump in the rear but never a 4 door! Where did you see this?

It's in Reno, NV. Cool setup. Dude could probably get $40k for it. LOL... It was not for sale. I just happened to pull up beside it.

Wow I wasn't expecting it to be in the states. It almost looks like a Hilux with an added extended bed. Provided it is factory their is no kidding about getting $40k for it haha.

Feels like Central America may have been where it originated.

Could be, but I have never seen one with a long bed and one with the north american bed on it, minus the cleats. Normally I would assume it was pieced together but it did not look to be cutup and all the paint seems to pretty much match and look factory. Crazy.

If someone did in fact make it they did a hell of a job. From looking at it from 5' anyway.

If it is still there you should take a peek under at the frame! See if you can see obvious welds where someone extended the frame under the bed. Or even better, find the owner and ask him!

I should have inquired a little further. I will if I see it again. It was at a local parts store so to late now. Door gaps and everything are right where they should be so if someone did make it. They did one hell of a job.

At this point I am thinking that it has to be a fabricated job. Probably 4Runner rear doors. The mirrors look like 4Runner mirrors. Kudos to whoever did it though.

4Runner rear doors have a cutout for the wheel. If they are Toyota doors (opposed to some other vehicle) I am pretty sure they had to have come from a Hilux.

I saw so many frankenstein toyota truck configurations in Guatemala. This is probably the answer.

Here is my thought, it started life as a single cab.

Then the owner decided he needed rear seats so he bought a wrecked Hilux.[IMG]

He then cut his truck right at the door, cut the rear doors out of the Hilux, and welded it in between the 2 sections of his pickup.

Annnd there you go, the only 4 door long bed pickup on earth :O

I think this because if you look at the section right behind the rear door on the Hilux you will notice it is a good 6" long. On the pickup it is maybe 2". In the frankentruck it is only 2" like on the pickup.

Best thing I saw in Guatemala was a Chevette with the back cutoff to make it like an el camino. I would rock the hell out of that to and from work.
