FS Jewelry! Don't ask...

Well, title says it, selling jewelry. I have the original documentation and prices. Long story behind the sale, if you really want to know and want a good laugh, go ahead and ask
1st up, Helzberg Diamonds Journey Necklace. New - $99. These were heavily advertised on TV so verification of the price shouldn't be difficult. Total carat wt 1/4 ct. Chain and setting are white gold. Will sell for $50. SOLD

2nd for sale is a Kay Jewelers promise ring. Ring is 14 CT gold and carries 3 diamonds. Very nice looking ring, might make a nice x-mas present... It has the extended service plan on it but I'm not sure about it being transferable, I'd have to find out from Kay. Original sale price was $350 (Original retail price was $400, I bought it on sale). I have the receipt pictured and can scan it if you want to see it better. Will sell for $250 shipped.
EDIT: Ring inside diameter measures 5/8". Based on sizing charts I've found online, that's about a 5.5. It does have the Extended Service Plan so resizing shouldn't be an issue if you can tell me the size you need (No charge for resizing, it won't cost me a penny).


These items are small so I will ship. I will not ship the ring without shipping insurance.

EDIT: These both come with the original boxes and are in perfect condition!!

Unfortunately when I got close up, it got all blurry... I'm guessing the result of a crappy camera. Photographing jewelry is not easy! These were the best of many pictures I took, I apologize for the poor quality.

It's a long story, never said it was funny although I always laugh when I tell it...
The condensed version is I bought this stuff when things were going well, then she kind of went off the deep end. Stage 5 clinger to be precise (my first experience with one of those). A couple small exampls (beleive me, there were many like this) is I went to my cousin's wedding 10 hours away, never told her where it was or where we were staying, she called hotels for 3 hours until she found where I was just to check up on me, she showed up at my apartment unannounced a few times and slept in her car until I got home, would get pissed, like really pissed if I talked to any girls (which a lot of my long-time friends, which have been around much longer than her, are girls) stuff like that. Then she tried the whole playing games thing to get me jealous which is damn near impossible. Any time a girl tries to play games to get me jealous, I get the fellas and we go get torn up at the bar. I'm not a jealous guy, never have been, games just piss me off. Needless to say, I wasn't going to give her jewelry like this to fuel the jealousy fire. Actually, I gave her the necklace, she threw it at me when I broke it off... I cut ties and hauled ass. Changed my phone number, moved and that was around the time I bought my new truck and motorcycle so no way for her to track me down now.
I guess a cross between funny and tragic but it was certainly a lesson learned!

So, who wants to buy some shiney stuff for their girlfriend/fiance/wife??

Seriously, that sucks that you went through that, but at least you got out.

BTW, what is the deal with a promise ring? f an engagement ring is a promise to marry someone, is a promise ring a promise to promise to marry someone? Kinda like "I'll think about it"?

I guess so. I still have yet to give a promise ring to a girl and it's a damn good thing I didn't give it to her. She was pretty damn cute but I way too unstable for me! Like I said, very valuable life leasson learned and I'm glad I got out when I did!

Updated the original post. I can get the ring resized for free since it's got the extended service plan. Just need to tell me the size you need. I haven't been able to get ahold of Kay to find out if the plan is transferrable yet.
