So the tricky thing about the lake is that you can’t cut trees down, so they will not have a better view than that

 

If I had enough money for a $8M house I’d cut them down anyway. Fuck it.

 

Like a house in Colorado. It was against HOA policy to cut down aspens. New homeowner cleared all of them that were in his view.

 

Unless you’ve got more money than Duke Energy, you may have a bad time.

 

Oops the trees suddenly died and need to be cut down. A standing dead tree is a insurance risk and a hazard so they must come down

 

Haha. You haven’t dealt with Duke before I take it. Lots that have less trees/a view sell higher because they take it so seriously. Also have to get permission/approval for a dock. They own the lakes so they call the shots unfortunately.

 

I can’t afford to live on the lake, so...nope.

Maybe one day I’ll be rich enough to live on the water.

 

Utilities have a lot of power in general, not a good idea to mess around with them. Even if you’re right, they have more lawyers.

 

I feel ya. GA Power calls the shots on what homeowners can/can’t do on a lot of the NEGa lakes.

 

Note to self, dont live on a lake in the south.

 

OR... live on a remote lake like Badin or Tillery

my best friend lived on the lake so needless to say I was at his house damn near all the time. It’s not that bad. His parents always got annoyed because their friends always wanted to party at their house or go out on the boat and not contribute gas money or whatever.

 

Is there a specific wheel you're looking for? I might have some TRD wheels somewhere...

 

Badin is owned by Alcoa so will be under similar restrictions. And Tillery is also a Duke lake. There are no "natural" lakes in the Piedmont or Western parts of NC, so they are all going to be "managed".

 

It'll be Bourbon but that's the idea!

 

I'm allergic to most whiskeys and bourbons...
