    I'm ready for a better smoker after getting this going this morning. Wanted to take a bat to it after all the trouble it gave me. Seems to be good after 1.5hrs of messing with it...:frusty: It'll be worth it in the end.

    I want one.
    1967 my folks bought me a Marlin Golden 39A kit. Gun, scope, soft case and cleaning kit. Bought from Sears and delivered by the mailman. :eek: Great gun and a lot of lead downrange thru it. A few years later I sold it to my former math teacher coz I wanted to buy a .243. Stupid kid. :mad:

    I saw my teacher a few years later and asked to buy it back, he had already sold it. He couldn't remember who he sold it to. :annoyed:

    Fast forward to the late 80s. I was at a farm nearby working on the AC. When done I was chatting with the owner near the back door and there was a nice pond out back, a stone throw from the back steps. A turtle head popped up and he handed me my old rifle. :eek: I know it was mine coz I had applied 21 coats of True Oil on the wood. It still looked good.

    I told him the story and asked to buy it back. Nope. :annoyed:

    39As on Gunbroker are pricey.
