I’ve been in this position before. When we got Ollie our old girl Auggie wanted absolutely nothing to do with him. After several months she became much more tolerant. In the end when she was winding down we would catch them randomly grooming each other.
I know Ollie misses her now.

Sometimes tolerance is as far as you’ll get with cats but I think more often then not they end up friends.

we’ve been fortunate with that.

We had to scoot the little guy closer to Helena because Juno would just put her head down in her bowl and growl when he was closer

 

These two have become pretty close over the last year and a half, since we got Allie (the calico).

Ginger cats are susceptible to dark freckles on their nose & mouths. Ollie & Harry both have them.



Marty doesn’t have any yet but he’s just a year old.

 

so this kitten refuses to eat meat or any meat flavored dry food, only ever seen it eat cheese, drink milk, and eat my birthday cake

Thoughts?

What do you feed a vegetarian cat?

It's like 4/5 months old now

 

Try fish flavored Fancy Feast. I've never seen a cat turn up it's nose at that stuff. Stinks to high heaven, but I guess that's what cats like.

 

Yeah that's what my other cats eat, It sniffs, looks disgusted than walks off

Chicken will make it jump back and dry heave in disgust

It's never once liked the smell of any meat put in front of it

maybe i need to go to the oriental market and get it some imported salmon than maybe it might eat

 

Might be time for a visit to the vet.

 

Yeah but it's fights with it's sibling, annoys it mom, begs for food from its owner, runs around, plays with shoe laces and squeaky mouse toys like any other kitten

I'll probably end up taking it but I'm not sure if theyre going to say anything as it's a seemingly healthy kitten

 

Always file your cats properly when not in use.

Is it an issue with hard food?
Or maybe a tooth issue? Just throwing it out there.
Maybe chewing food too painful for some reason.

 

Peppa was like that too, just ate the dry food and would sniff at the wet food. Now? She's a fatty catty! I even catch her going back for seconds. Give the kitt some time to adjust/grow - as long as it's eating food it should be fine, she/he is still a kitten. You could try kitten food if you haven't already.

Our Angel was a very finicky eater as well, to the point that she was too thin in our opinion. We finally got her to eat Orijen Cat and Kitten kibble, but had to play games with the kibble for her to eat it. We also were told about Meric wet foods which Angel took too as well. Also, you've said she won't touch meats, but have you tried raw meat vs processed meat? We had a farm cat a long time ago that would only eat raw meat.
