Add a cab rack, and the truck will look even more badass.

I think this cap is pretty great. I'm not sold on the f150 style window vents, but I do like that it's SS and can carry more dynamic load than fiberglass—although that's mostly irrelevant for RTT folks. Somewhat flat-packed and recyclable is neat too. Can't help but think of the gull wing door futurism we saw from 90's imports when looking at this, I hope that branding is easily de-badged. Keep us up-to-date with your long term road test!

Looks awesome. I guess metal caps are an acquired taste, and I've acquired it. I have my deposit down on a Tundra one due next month.

Regarding price, I got several quotes from dealers selling/installing the "big 3" fiberglass brands and with flip-up side windows and install they were coming in maybe 300-500 less than this RSI. And honestly, between the water-tightness of the cap, the 770lb weight limit, simple installation/removal, and accessory options, I'm totally sold. Also didn't like all of the stories of damaged beds from the fiberglass caps flexing and crappy installations. Long-term RSI owners have reported no damage.

Anyway, stoked to see these popping up in the States. Congrats!

Yeah I paid $200 for install. Worth it considering they have to put it together. I think they charge that much for a regular shell that doesn’t require assembly.

I hadn't even considered having it installed. Any reason you wouldn't do it yourself? I thought that was one of the big upsides of the modular setup. Not being jerky, just wondering if I'm missing something.

@unsub1 for me I felt like it was worth the money to let the people who have already overcome the learning curve to do it. Additionally, I believe having a staff of workers, not just a single person, would greatly reduce the effort needed to put it together.

Gotcha. My understanding from the groups around the world is that it was super straight-forward and maybe a 1 hour job. You need 2-4 people to lift it but it has to be easier than the bumpers I've installed.

I'll be the guinea pig and report back, for better or worse.

I dig it. Looks great and your pup looks stoked! Might want to look into insulating it if the dog is gonna ride in the back. It's gonna get hot back there!

@tacomarin thank you. She’s spoiled rotten and rides in the cab when the temps get too hot or cold.
