Yep, just you. My grass is all dead now anyways. My kids being home full time due to Covid coupled with the drought did me in. The only patch of grass I have left is inside the dome jungle gym because it's the only spot they can't physically run through. The dog caught on to that and has been trying to kill that area off now also...

My grass in front is deeeead. back yard isn't bad but still not in great shape. Front yard is baaaad though, which is why I'm thinking of clovering the shit out of it this year and hoping that the seeds take enough that next spring isn't a mud pit and next summer will be green and mow free.

It's not an overreaction. I've lost a family member to it.

I'd love a BRZ/FR-s for commuting just due to how many miles I was driving a week. I actually seriously considered one before buying the LC as my wife has a 5th gen T4R, and do we really NEED 2 Suvs... And the conclusion I came to is obviously yes we do. But with the 'rona there's been minimal commuting. And our company realized that we don't need to be in the office to be productive, and going forward will never have 100% staffing at any given office. So working from home ftw.

Ah, gotcha. That's stupid. Never had to get any special plates.

I'm going to be complaining sometime in the next year because my 10 year license expires. Actually have to go to the DMV and take the eye test and get a new photo taken.

    Meanwhile in Australia....

Did the base model mod for the winter. I'm 50/50 on center cap choice between the black FJ cap and the silver base/SR5 cap. I like the FJ cap, but what a pain they are to get on, and I'm not convinced I'll be able to actually get them off. Best I can tell I don't think I can fit an impact socket between the lug and the center cap, and definitely not a lug wrench. I'll have to figure out my winter plans if I go that route.

Regardless, I'm psyched. I was a little bummed at first that the tires have a late 2018 date code, but per Nokian anything manufactured within the last 5 years can be sold as new, six years of service and must be removed from use 10 years after the date code. So looking at that, can easily get six seasons in without issue. I'm excited to see how these perform. I have a suspicion I'll end up powdercoating these wheels at some point, but for now, I'm pleased.

So 2 things I ordered have just come in.

1st off, Amazon surprised the heck out of me by getting me the headlight bulbs that I ordered delivered 2 weeks earlier than promised!

2nd, I finally got my mountain bike tire after about a 3 month wait!!! So if anyone wants a part for their bike and can wait you could order from Bike Inn. If you need a part for you bike right away DO NOT order from them!

Oh my god... That new Grand Wagoneer looks terrible and for that price. I am not sure I could be any more disappointed. I always loved the old ones. What a let down!

I’ve got 5 :notsure: had 7 at one point lol.

I’ve been contemplating the new turbo BRZ, but have also been kinda jonesing for a Shitstang GT 5.0. I love my STi but V8’s are cool too... hmm
RIP for your grass! Mine is all weeds anyway. I’m on a dirt road in the sticks. It’s all garbage. I’m just trying to tame our parking areas lol.

Diesel fuel works really well for permanently killing grass!
I never understood the BRZ til I drove one. I kinda wish I drove one before I got the STi

I typically go through 2ish pallets worth each year. Last year, I stacked one in the basement then left a second on the trailer parked just off the side of the drive way. Seemed like less work, than carrying both to the basement, then back up when we need em. I only ended up doing it this way because I got the 2nd skid so late compared to the first.

The wagoneer is missing one very important detail.............wood paneling!!!!!! also they already sell something similar in the Chinese market called the Grand Commander.

Those are them! I used to get them from someone 20 minutes from home, but the place changed ownership and they only carry the New England ones now, which are decent, but I prefer Maine Woods or LaCrete to them, and none of those are as good as the Vermont ones. If I get them, I'm hoping they're just as good as they were last time I used them.

Thanks Rob. After running three different winter wheel setups on this truck (2G OR, 3G OR and 2/3G SR/SR5 steel) I think this set is here to stay*.

*Until Toyota releases an alloy wheel that I like and looks good with less aggressive black wall tires.

I drove the FR-S at a driving event when they first came out. I was somewhat disappointed in it, but the fact it was an AT probably didn't help. There was no sense of urgency and the handling was kinda meh, but it was a tight track and the automatic never shifted when you'd want it to, so every time you'd come out of a corner and booted it, nothing happened. I did the Focus ST the same summer and liked it 10x better, but it might have been that the course was set up to show the flexibility and torque of 2nd gear. I did the NC Miata back in 2005-2006 and that was a ball to throw around. I'd think long and hard about the Miata RF compared to the FR-S / BRZ. That being said, had the BRZ come out with a targa option, I might have traded my STi back when I had it. I love, love, love targas, even though mine leaks.
