    Okay, not bent, 2 pieces welded together. This looks like a good project to try to learn how to weld on. Although, I'm sure the thicker metal is harder to weld, so maybe not.

    Yeah...no... better not have this one as a "how to weld" project, it'll projectile far away... Have it welded by professional/experienced person.

    This is a good alternative, but after bolting them on weld them in as well.

    i genuinely have no idea. i remember seeing them once but never looked into it.

    i actually can't find information of their strengths.... no load ratings or anything of the sort but the manufacturer says they're great as decoration...>

    The brackets are a good design - they wrap around the crossmember and are gusseted, so neither the bolts nor the welds are loaded in shear.

    The Demon shackles are bling pieces meant for SEMA. Avoid those.
