When did you go to UMO?

I want a second one but it's insane. I would probably have to trade down the tacoma for something a little cheaper to be able to get a second car, but like even a plug in hybrid to get to and from work (5 mile each way, I could get to and from on a charge in theory). Still no dice I'd need a second job.

Chinese market: wants the big back seats/rear leg room. That thing is atrocious. I've had jeeps before, now you want to make a BIG one like the tahoe and expedition, and expect your reputation to go up at all? FCA. What u doin.

C5/C6 Z06 models don't have the targa, unlesls they've been converted. The C6 conversion is very in depth due to the aluminum frame vs the base model steel frame. The C5 is a bit easier, if you want to go crazy.

Are you calling me insane?

I call it a collection... My girlfriend calls it a problem :notsure:

Also FCA clearly never knows what it is doing these days. Their design chiefs are locked in the basement with a mountain of cocaine seeing how many hellcat swapped vehicles they can offer to the general public... On second thought, I think they're on to something!

Yeah I don't want a FRC. I'd just get a base-ish model and enjoy the targa

So I fixed my shifter in the Vette (see my rant from a few days ago). The one project I neglected my torque wrench bit me.

Of course, now the car won't start. This thing is trying to drive me mad.

Dang... Seems like it wants a new home, and for $5, I can give it just what it wants! :drevil:

Also torque specs are merely suggestions for how many ugga duggas you give that bitch when you send 'er home!

In East Providence, it would be insane. The vehicle tax is 37 per 1k in NADA clean value. You can have a rust bucket, you still get taxed on the clean value.

They want to nix the car tax but I'm 50/50 on it. In one aspect, I get it, it's silly, but in another - a loooooot of people rent. If they nix the car tax they'll up taxes elsewhere, which would likely be real estate, which renters don't give a rip about. But, I only have 1/3 acre 1200 sqft house, my taxes are pretty cheap so nix the car tax I'd probably pay less in taxes than a lot of my neighbors once they do it all out. :D

It's worth at least 7$, 6$ and a Ganset maybe.

I have a stripped skid plate mount that taught me that lesson :(

That's usually my standard cue to get the ratchet or torque wrench to finish tightening. I love my 3/8" impact!

My STi brand new was about $850 to register the first year, $750 the next year, and finally like $430 this past year. We only have food, vehicle, and property taxes, so we get hit pretty well. I always kinda laugh when people lease a new vehicle every 3 years up here. You FINALLY get to the good part of depreciation where you're not getting bent over the barrel dry on registration, only to re-up with another brand new vehicle!

And I concur: $10, a firm Covid elbowshake, and a 6-er of Narragansett.

I'm with Rob. My ex-wife had one, and those things got way more attention than they deserved.

Yeah, I miss that about NH. We use NADA clean value, so the tacoma taxes go down like....20 bucks YOY. Might even go UP next year with all this nonsense. I just HAAAAD to buy new. I've never bought new and probably never will again, and if I'm going to make that bad choice, at least it was with the tacoma than something silly like a ranger, or a superduty or STI :D :boink: I like my 3rd gen, after taking it wheeling a bit I am probably not going to end up in a 4 banger. MIGHT end up in a short cab and/or long bed, but that would be it. I'm starting to really like my decision to get this thing. Just have to get the dent out of the rocker o_O

Rhode Island is a special place. Like Massachusetts but we talk funnier, drive worse, have more government corruption shenanigans, and higher taxes, and higher car insurance. I love ganset though. It's a plain white can that just says "LAGER". No fancy shmancy shit. Drink lager get drunk have fun. There have been more than one night that ended up with "And then I drank too much ganset".

...The Ex Wife or the car?

My college roomates girlfriend had one. I jump started it several times and dug it out of the snow several times. They got exactly how much love they deserved.
