I made the best tri tip i have ever made on sunday. Now that i am working from home i have become a pretty good chef. Smoked it for 1 hour. Then turnt up to 300 for 1 hour. Then seared at 500 for a min or 2. Came out mouth watering. Had leftovers the next morning with fluffy eggs. Oh, amd smoked syrup/brown sugar bacon for izzy and siracha smoked bacon for me. Im hungry now

Haha, when I lived there, above B40 was our testing ground. There is a big logging turnaround up there from the 70's

Yep. Steel shot blows. You have to tighten up the choke to make it even close to lead. Even with doing that it doesn't fly nearly as well.

I usually roll them in some flour with a little garlic salt and pepper, then straight to the frying pan with some butter in it and brown them up... excellent like that or cut it after and put it on some salad with Italian dressing.

Shit I know for sure it’ll be way too much for me and the wife. I plan to cut the point up for burnt ends once it’s cooked

Nothing in the picture to give it perspective.

So, ok, enough for four. Barely.

Nice and simple shows off the meat.
    I like that.

Reminds me of alligator. I’ve eaten a bunch of it but can’t tell you what it actually tastes like. It’s always been fried, sausage, jerky, chili, gumbo etc. But never simply sautéed.
