My father in law just bought this a Jim Barkley Toyota in Asheville which gets in the best toyotas of any dealership I've ever been to. They are also an ARB dealer so they always have models with bumpers, winches, and lifts covered by the warranty, which is pretty cool.

I had never seen a "TX" package tacoma before but it looked really great in magnetic gray. The TX package itself is totally cosmetic and includes TRD wheels, tube steps, an exhaust tip, and a greywood dash but also includes everything in the TRD offroad package.

I really do think it is the best "showroom floor" tacoma I've ever seen.

Are there any more of these cool packages I've never heard of?

Sorry for the crappy cell phone pic... I'm going to take more when my wife and I visit them in VA.

No, that looks like the TX package only. They have the TX and TX Pro package. If you look real close at the sticker, there is no "Pro" in white after the "TX". The TX and Pro are both white. I have one sitting in my driveway.

Wow, had no idea there was a TX " non-pro".

So how much more is this package than the TRD offroad?

The TX Pro was a $1600 option on mine. I got it for $1200 (dealer cost).

I drove one with the Catback and one with the normal exhaust before I drove my TX off the lot. The catback gives a little more along with a nice growl.

not when you add the extra associated sales tax to the vehicle... I'd rather get the regular TRD.. find the exhaust ($350-400) and rims ($800ish) and call it a day.. the graphic means nothing and the tube steps are not part of the "Pro" package.
