    this and that...
@Korby: i hear ya man. i cant leave anything alone either. my mind is always wandering lol. even though i vowed i wasnt gonna lift or put any armor on, i still did end up doing things here and there to make the truck more mine. pretty much your mindset with your ram. my sport will undergo the boost treatment when magnusons supercharger is more readily available, and that was always my endgame. ovt does have their own boost application so i really dont know what will happen to those of us who go supercharged instead of turboed. for now though the truck is exactly where i want it to be as far as usability. i have posted my street sweeper below lol.

I'll admit that the process isn't as slick as some of the more polished products. I had a Cobb tuner for my Macan, and that was super slick. Bought it used for something like $1100, then sold it a year later for $1125 to cover shipping (accurate to within $100 by memory but I do know I sold it for $25 more than I bought it so broke even). It was totally plug-n-play with it's own handheld and connectivity. But that's a different audience and most buyers in that space want push button 'easy'. It was.

But I'll say that the value for OVTune is higher, even with the few extra steps to configure and install. That's partly a function of how mucked up the OEM tune is.

what you need is to go boldly into exhaust on your truck. you are missing so much performance with that TRD hog of a muffler. it's choking everything you did. but it's a rabbit hole y know.

@Xer0 SiN my mind never stops!!! Lol. I have my family that has me always doing something or I'm always in my head thinking up projects. I wish I had a bigger shop because one of my hobbies is woodworking. I need a shop fully dedicated to it but in my current home it won't happen. But my biggest and most expensive/mind wandering goes towards my love for old Gravely tractors. They will be the thing that makes me go broke. Lol.

This new to me Tacoma has relit the fire to have fun with a vehicle and see what changes I can make for the better.

OVTune will not get you to the HP or general power you had - If you want a non-CARB approved alternative it will come close with the twin snail option. If you need a CARB approved alternative Magnuson is working to that end - the only developer doing so as of date - and they use OVTune's VFTuner software. OVTune (VFTuner) provides small HP increases - the major performance improvement is in the shifting logic - getting rid of the drunk monkey shifting the Mothership sold you and the rest of us Gen3 owners.

It's totes worth it. @Shellshock fixed me up a couple weeks ago and I would be pretty bummed if I had to drive a "de-OVTuned" Tacoma.

Honestly that's my biggest complaint about the truck is that the shift points are wonky.
