    Tuesday
and @RivetNutBob - in February I topped the doctors office scale at 335. Heaviest I've ever been. Last week at the doctors office, 298. And for the first time in a very long time, my next appointment is six months out instead of three. A1C dropped from 7.3 to 6.1. We started Weight Watchers, which I have since stopped ($$), and just made some adjustments to how and what we cook. Small changes lead to big ones.

It is a 5X8. The wife and I are almost empty nesters. We have been using a rooftop tent for the last several years as we prefer to camp out away from people. Decided going up and down the ladder in the middle of the night at 50 could eventually cause an accident lol. I am digging the fact that it tracks the Tacoma really well and I don't need tow mirrors to see past it.

Yeah, I've played the see-saw game with my weight past few years. I did really good about 2-3 years ago. Lost about 50-60 lbs (from 250 to 200-give or take 5-10 lbs.). But since I've moved and been back on night shift, that has quickly gone back up. It hard to be motivated to get up and wanna exercise, eat healthy, when you consistently tired.

Don't get me wrong. I love working night shift, but it takes a HUGE toll on the human body.

So Tuesday @ilubtimmyhos put all those suspension parts I bought on my truck. I really, really like my truck now!

    Billy 5100's with 888's and heavy Dakar's.

    Before:
    20200714_132818.jpg
    After:
    20200904_173758.jpg
Gained about 2.5" up front and, if I read my tape measure correctly, about 3.25" in the rear. I had to put the steps back on for my wife. Now I just slide in, no more sitting down to get in the truck. Perfect!

Now the tires look too small...

I've been on nights for almost a year. Due to a busted up ankle (thanks USMC PT) and a bad knee, I don't do much in the way of exercise except cut the grass. My biggest changes were the food I brought overnight. I doctor up some oatmeal and bring some fruit. I replaced chips with Quaker rice crisps (cheddar and buffalo ranch are pretty good). Not plugging Weight Watchers (they are not cheap), but they helped me find foods I like that were "zero point" which really changed things up for me. I lost about 70 lbs with them in '13, but didn't handle my dad's death very well and packed it back on. Small changes. Big results.

Totally functional and so worth it. Just makes me wonder -- why do they have to be so darn ugly? I mean it wouldn't take much to make them actually look cool, right ?

I need to get a set of those 16" TRD Pro wheels myself. Not a fan of the new generation of Pro wheels (or the 17" 4 Runner ones). Hopefully they are still in production.

Went around it because I got aggravated. Cleaned up the bike for tomorrow’s ride. Then reminded myself of my other projects. o_O

You worried about have 3" on 5100's in the back? I think they're only rated for 1 inch of lift, mall crawlers can get away with 2 inches

They have the kodiak truck tents that look awesome but they are in pre-order, it has a window that way you can reach in your truck from your tent. The Napier will get the job done for now.

Deer jumped out at me in Lakeside Montana. Anyone know a good body shop in Kalispell area?

Not yet. They have almost 11" of travel, and I don't expect to exceed that. And it's a package that Headstrong offers. Once it settles it shouldn't be that much, and loaded down for camping I suspect I'll be closer to 2" anyway. And I'm going to add more weight with armor, which is why I went heavy. At least that's my understanding from what I've read.

Factory tires for off road are not good. Sold my TRD OR wheels and tires while almost new, put the 4runner TRD Sema wheels (gunmetal) on my Silver Sky with KO2s Load Range C tires. Have not had it off road yet, but coming in deer season. Mud when wet, thorns all the time. Those load range C K02s balanced perfectly, and look to have only dropped about 1.5 mpg over stock set up. Talked to a LOT of Tacoma owners locally and read a lot here, that if you go to a Load Range E tire in like the KO2 that the mpg drops almost 5 over stock in the OR, and stiff as hell. I also put some other mods on mine since new in late May. Need to post. Stuff like seat jackers from Desert Does It, and Lomax tonneau cover, with come cosmetic things. Need to post pics when time.
