    Just signed up and now I'm told to post here, so don't yell at me, I'm just following directions.

    Now that the formalities have been taken care of, down to business. I bought my new used 06 Tacoma Sport back in March with 205k miles. I had just gone through a nasty breakup which an ex who thoroughly destroyed the 4x4 system on my 2007 Jeep Liberty, if not the entire manual transmission with it... So to feel better I bought my new used Tacoma. I named her Martha after Martha Stuart, cause that b**ch got s**t done lol.

    Now here I am 6 months later with a TRD Sport. I live in Colorado and I find myself frequenting dirt roads/4x4 roads to 14rs and basic 4x4 roads(I can go into more detail but I'll spare everyone the stories). My thinking was not to be one of the kids who have the TRD 4x4 Off-Road and only drive pavement. This TRD-S WILL/HAS see more dirt than most TRD-OR. I'm absolutely lost and need help. I want to make this truck a sustainable mild to moderate off-road everyday driver. I'm a park ranger and I work hard so I can play hard and therefore this truck will see some s**t.

    Soo to that point, here's where I need help:
    In short: lift kit, exhaust, and brakes to start.

    A 2.5-3 inch lift because of general lifts. I've seen too much from the other side of the internet to the point I don't know what is real. I want a lift kit that will roll with the off roads. I don't care to look cool. #function over fashion. If anyone can point me in the right direction to posts or threads about lift kits which are better suited for trail use over pavement that would be great...(see what I did there?)

    I'm also looking for a new exhaust system. I've been told exhaust is a big deal because exhaust gives more torque and "that's what trucks do" and more airflow=more power. I've been looking at this exhaust system from URD. I'm interested in what the general consensus is about both URD and this particular exhaust system.

    Lastly, the brakes. My thoughts on brakes are: if they work and don't get squishy then they must be better than stock. IDK prove me wrong?

    I'm super new to everything this forum stands for so if I'm posting everything in the wrong place let me know. I'm here to play not work...

    Thanks in advanced,
    My newly f***ed off-road taco sport

    Whattap OP -----> Welcome :headbang:

    SUSPENSION - Stick with 2.5-3.0 suspension kits. Better ride and some are adjustable. IE, coilovers etc. Also look into new control arms and add a leaf for the rears.

    EXHAUST - If you want something that's loud, add HP, and gives you clearance check out my MBRP 3-Inch XP Turn Down Exhaust System install on my new 2020 6spd MT Taco

    To be honest I thought I wanted a different one becaue it's pretty loud but I actually like it. I might swap the muffler for something more than a basic straight pipe.
