Best purchase i've made was the HF Low-Profile Extended reach floor jack and 2 sets of big red torin 6 ton jacks.
I don't know what your garage situation is, but they've already paid for themselves. I put my wife's corolla up on the jacks which are almost a foot tall at the bottom setting. Was easily able to drop the oil pan and put in a new gasket. Tall enough for the truck to sit on too. Short enough to slide under a lawn chair in my garage

 

Goes without sayin’. Most importantly, the safety thing. Nothin’ like torquin’ hard on somethin’ and knowin’ it’s not gonna fall on you.
