That's a horrible idea. What time?
Thanks. I went with the heavy package so it wouldn't loose a lot when it does. And I want to add armor and bumpers / winch eventually.

I'm interested in regearing. Not interested in doing the work myself. What is the best way to find a shop? Nitro-gear.com doesn't have a zip code search.

I've definitely done that. I just been smart enough to save some cash as opposed to melting the credit card! We'll have to see what's next...

I think most are using ECGS in NC.

    Locally, I'm not sure

Hmmmm. Ok. So I think we decided you have it well adjusted at the drum. If the 2nd gen is identical to the 3rd gen the only other adjustment is at the handle. It's under the console. If that doesn't do it you may have stretched the cables beyond their abilities or something is wrong in the assembly.

As long as the rears are adjusted right (slight drag when spinning), it's a nut adjuster in the center console to take up the stretch in the cable. I think Toyota is 5 clicks for your target so you'll just want to adjust it until that's enough to hold the truck in place. From there just make sure there's no tension on the parking brake cable when the lever is down and you're good to go.

No complaints, it was a year and a half ago ago (25k miles) , parts plus labor (110 per hour). I didnt go with Nitro, I went with yukon. If I remember correctly they were comparable to ecgs at the time, the benefit for me is they arent 4 hours from me like ecgs. They also have a 1 year warranty.

So, fun fact, I adjusted the center and the ebrake doesn't go down as far or as easily anymore.......but still does nothing

When you say nothing, does it not tension it at all or just not enough? If you max out the adjuster you might have cable stretch beyond what you can compensate for.

Are you adjusting it at the drums AND the lever (Mid Point)?
